Manic gameplay and a really good port to VR, do it!

Holy hell this game is the most fun in VR I've had in a long time. If you enjoyed the Serious Sam games then you'll definitely love playing them in VR. I literally feel like fucking Rambo exterminating everything in my way. The only thing though, at least with me is I tend to tire out playing VR shooters like this but apart from that this game is a total blast (no pun intended) so what are you waiting for?

Serious Sam 3 in VR is my favorite just after Serious Sam 1 TFE. For one simple reason, the scale of the Egyptian theme pyramid building. In TSE, it's big but it doesn't have that feeling except at the end of the game. So yeah, the beginning of 3 is pretty lame, but the game start as soon as you blow up the Sphinx and then it's on. The part with the space monkey is pretty scary. The big monsters looks bigger than ever. Lots of part of the decor can be blown up like the pillars. And the scale, the goddamn scale of Serious Sam 3 in VR with the Egyptian theme is mind blowing. So don't give up, go until the game really starts, the beginning is pretty boring. Don't miss out. Compared to its flat counter part unfortunately, you cannot do executions but you can wield two weapons. 3 was always easier than the others, even more so with two weapons, but I'm having a blast, I feel like a real badass. Even with two weapons on TFE and TSE it was crazy exhausting. But I didn't finish the game as I'm writing. I know it's gonna get even more crazier. So for me if I had to chose it would be SS 3 and TFE, especially in VR. As always deactivate all the bullshit teleportation. Just play it like you played it flat on your PC. Anyway, I will have to look for more boomer shooters where I can more pretty fast in VR after finishing SS 3. Alyx and Vertigo 2 are amazing but slow pace is killing me, everytime I replay them. If you love or just like Serious Sam, go for it in VR it's amazing. I hope the 4th installment will have a VR part in the future.

Passed on this game the first few times it was on sale, glad I finally picked it up and wish I did sooner! Just over halfway through now, one of the best VR games I have ever played. Its got a mix of everything, blood, bullets, graphics that hold up, tomb exploration and some puzzle solving, tons of enemies, secrets to find, and massive enemies too. Little tiny fun things that are unexpected were thrown in too that make the game fun and surprising at times. This game pulled me away from Asgards Wrath 2 which I freaking love, and I will be finishing it before going back! Totally under rated game, just get it! So much fun.

8/10 A decent port of of Serious Sam 3 with some odd design choices that hurt the game. Duel wielding breaks it, as does the fact that shotguns can fire as fast as you pull the trigger and none of the weapons need to be reloaded. Still, while I prefer the base game, Its a fun way to replay a great game. I just wish they had put a bit more time into it and not based it off the fusion version.
