Absolutely love this game. It was so much fun to play. Capture unique creatures. Use magic to fight, explore etc. Definitely worth your time!

TLDR: It's The Linear Legend of Zelda and Pokemon but the player moves slow and can only trade blows. - This is primarily an adventure game with a side of magical farming which you can mostly ignore. - The spells are purely for utility, it's summoning pickaxes, axes, rain clouds for watering, teleportation etc. - You only have two weapon choices, your melee stick or your range stick. One requires you to get close enough and do a laughable charge up attack that lets your enemies eat your face while the other stick lets you throw your stick from the edge of your screen so long as you successfully lock onto them and can hold the attack button to auto-attack while still being able to move. Yes I'm talking about the sword being the best ranged weapon. - Difficulty is purely a numbers game, if you can't outdps the enemy before it outdps' you, you lose. There's little strategy involved. - There's no player dodging involved, spells will home into you, that leaves only having a good chunk of hp or mp with the spell shield perk to block against damage and the passive "dodge" skill to mitigate it entirely. 0 player skill involved other than managing your potion drinking timings I guess. The final fight was just holding down spacebar and moving the character close enough while watching a video as my character just dodge tanked it while I slowly whittle down its inflated hp while occasionally drinking a mana potion if it's close to 0. - The game is pretty linear despite it being marked as "open world", there's a clear prerequisite to travel to each region. - FIshing mini-game is pretty neat, I like the idea of it and would like to see it improved upon. - Crafting feels too slow for my taste, but at least the items on the ground don't expire so you just set and forget it while you grind. - Creature collection was mixed it was okay at the start where everything was new but then I realized pets get tired and just neglected them in favor of character power who doesn't get tired. It also doesn't help that the powers it get is a bit randomized. Like the game says, it's free dps. - Not a fan of the one save mechanic, mostly because if it gets corrupted it goes bye bye. Luckily the game was pretty stable for me until completion. - Their statement of grindy is definitely true. - The spell mechanics has the potential if it was the primary means of combat. Unfortunately it did not go the Magicka route with more spell combinations outside of utility. Overall an enjoyable experience so long as you ground your expectations.

Rough around the edges but still very fun to explore and figure out. Definitely a passion project, and one I would love to see more of.
