To be honest, I couldn't really get into it. And I feel like I should give it a thumbs down. But it's hard to give a game with such nice fan service a thumbs down review... so what can I say? Enjoy the thumbs up. It's not really obvious what I'm supposed to do in this game to make progress and move on to the next part of the game. And not in a good way like a fun puzzle game. It's just a lot of running around, occasionally shooting attackers, the eating/drinking mechanic is just a bit of a nuisance, and as mentioned, it's not clear how to proceed in the game. I had a few moments where the space fan in me enjoyed the wonder of being on an exotic alien planet in the sort of immersive experience I can only get from VR, but the followup of a good gameplay and story experience to hold my interest just didn't appear in the first few hours of play, leaving me disappointed. An option to have a quest pointer turned on at all times to make sure I know where I'm supposed to go to proceed with the story would be a good idea and might make the game satisfactory.

I bought this game back in like 2018 when I first got a vr and haven't really touched it since. I recently got back into vr and seeing the negative reviews I did not think I would enjoy my time playing this game. I ended up finishing the game and I think this was one of the best vr games that I've played so far. Now that might not be saying a lot because all of the games I have are 2018 or older but I really enjoyed the gameplay, the guns, fighting different enemies, and even the crafting system. The woodchucker might be your best friend. I got stuck outside of the map twice in my playthrough and had to use the woodchucker to slowly dwindle dwon my health until I could respawn. Fun game though, would reccommend!

I half expected to be getting a refund after seeing the negative reviews, but for me it's a really fun game and the motion controls on pico 4 are all working correctly, it would be nice if the devs came back to it and polished it up a bit, because it definitely could do with a bit... AA doesn't seem to work in this game for some reason and performance can be a bit hit or miss occasionally but not bad enough to stop me playing, with a bit of spit and polish it would be one of my favourites for sure, it still looks good too, better than a lot of the new stuff.

I personally enjoyed this game. Now, don't get me wrong, it has a lot of bugs and the mechanics are very much dated in comparison to modern VR games. On top of that you can't connect to the multiplayer server so no Co-op or PVP. To make myself clear, I would not spend $29.99 on this title. I paid around 8 bucks for it and for that I am more than satisfied. Though there are bugs like getting stuck in the terrain or a giant monster stomping on you until you fall through the map, the game is very much playable. I ran into no issues gathering resources, crafting weapons, armor and food. I had no issues with lag or artifacts while playing but I can image it would be tough on cards that are mid tier or lower, (I played on an AMD 5900X with a 6900XT card). Story lines are not all that great but the graphics were beautiful, especially for a game from 2018. Minus a small amount of grind for resources, it took me around 16 hours to complete the game on Master Mode collecting all the achievements other than those for multiplayer since I could not connect.
