this game is so chonky so amazing and full of fibsch, I thought the dialogue was really cute and super silly it made me want to talk to every npc just to have dumb responses, this game is full of laughs and a fun playthrough.

Seal World is a very thought provoking game that tackles strenuous societal issues that plague our current epoch, such issues including our reliance on affluence and over-consumption of stimuli and dopamine. There will be full spoilers ahead. The game's primary drivers in representing these issues, is through the actions and ludo-narrative resonance with our protagonist, the aptly names "CHONKY BOY". His personality and excentricities are a reflection of our society and its constant needs for consumption and emphasis of over-abundance. It is quite poignant to note his struggles with frugality in his FIBSH stocks, a staple food of which he has ample amounts if subject to proper conservation. Yet he always requires more, and to this end, he holds dear the goal of copious fibsh acquisition throughout his journey. And yet this scrupulous acquisition of private goods may tarnish his character he maintains a chivalrous attitude that is infectious to the eager player. Despite the many hardships he may face along the way, our protagonist maintains focus on his goals and dreams, further cemented by the re-occuring ensemble of characters who each reflect his ideals for the "Rainbow Fibsh". Throughout your journey through Seal World, our Chonky Boy is sternly presented as his own character, with his own ideals, choices and actions. Everything we do as a player, is in line with the actions and choices our protagonist WOULD make. Yet when the time comes for our awe-inspiring encounter with the Rainbow Fibsh, we are given a surprise choice; To share the fibsh, or take it for ourselves. It is, in my opinion, quite a fitting end for our protagonist to share his accomplishment. It ties a very neat bow on our actions, hardships, and the many friendly faces we meet across our journey. And through the kindness of his heart our protagonist chooses to share and connect with this strange and wonderful world. And perhaps we too could learn from his kindness. To not act selfishly and share our kindness and joy with the world. In the same way that Sealdev could've contained this marvellous creation to themselves, yet chose to share it with all of us, Seal World presents an ideal to strive for. A world in which its joys and happiness, can be preserved through the simple act of sharing a rainbow fibsh. it has my "seal" of approval.

Seal World utterly surprised me. It is simple and silly but also heartfelt and unbelievably funny. Couldn't recommend enough to folks who want an absolutely chill time with some great writing. The platforming can be a bit hit-or-miss, but most of the time that simply adds to the comedy.
