Fun game that has unlimited potential. Although is a multiplayer focused game, adding a solo only ship type would make this game 100% better for player retention, at least for me.

It's a great game with a lot to offer when it works perfectly. Currently though it is in a slump with many issues plaguing it like cheaters, network, server stability and new "exciting" re-playable content. If you're new though there's many hours worth of fun content for you to experience. P.S always remember the most important rule which is that the loot is not yours until you've cashed it out, TRUST NO ONE!

A very, very fun game to play with friends. My number one piece of advice would be to try and just have fun and not take this game super seriously. If you are playing on normal servers, sometimes you're gonna get attacked, and lose, and it'll suck. But if you just take it and move onto the next adventure, you'll have way more fun! And sometimes you'll win a PVP battle, and it'll be awesome, and you'll come away with a tale to tell...which is what it's all about right? Forget the gold, live for the 'fame and glory when you sail together'!

I don’t really like PvP games, although Sea of Thieves kind of is, it’s quite good to play solo and missions are fun. Then after about 100 hours having fun in sandbox, I realised the adventure part is like another full game, and not bad either. This game is a must, never stops to surprise and even in 2024, it looks great thanks to devs. If you play on Steam Deck, limit your tdp to 9W/900Mhz for smooth 30fps, quiet fan and a couple of hours of battery life.
