Disappointed by the tutorial, i thought your builds could suffer physical and visual damage but found its only health bar damage. Vehicles seem to remain the same throughout a fight and only explode upon no health, that's huge for me, my interest has plummeted. I also thought physics would come into play but every vehicle merely rides on the water with a pre determined invisible hit box, things don't float, vehicles don't interact with the water unlike other games such as sea of thieves or scrap mechanic. The game feels arcade like and and mobile based almost, good job with the videos though, had me hyped though i do not feel deceived. In its current state the game isn't for me but I am sure others will enjoy it.

Game concept with enormous potential and incredibly addictive gameplay I came across the game Sea of Craft relatively randomly by chance. I found the idea of building your own physics-based ship and setting sail on a more or less randomly generated high sea exciting. Admittedly, the game development is still in a rather early phase. In the early stages of development, I also initially encountered some bugs that put me off a bit. At first, I thought the game might not even be playable in a meaningful way yet. At this point, I'm exclusively playing the "Open Sea" mode. I haven't tried the multiplayer mode yet. The "Open Sea" mode already works amazingly well and is also the mode I would recommend anyone curious to try. You start in the shipyard, equipped only with a raft. Then you add more parts to the ship, which may also have physics or control influences. You can add a ship's propeller and then assign a button to it individually. That's pretty cool, because that way you can give each control element an individual control option. This also allows you to create sandbox-like ships that can, for example, submerge on a self-defined button like a submarine. Unfortunately, only one weapon can be selected at a time for weapon control. I would have liked to be able to assign an individual button to each weapon as well. But now to the most important thing: The game concept is great and feels incredibly great even at this early stage. The controls and physics are absolutely unique, you can feel the waves and you become one with the sea. The gameplay is everything I hoped it would be. The content is currently still a bit meager, but I think the depth of the game will be added during this Early Access. It is already a lot of fun to go into battle with the existing gameplay, the individual ship and a freely adapted control. The sandbox player is certainly the main focus. What I noticed negatively is that during a battle, the battlefield is artificially fixed relatively hard to a square area that you can't leave. I assume that this is a temporary solution to allow for meaningful multiplayer battles, for example. I would like to see a more pleasant solution here at a later date. From my side, I can say that I have great confidence in this game concept, that I hope that the developers continue to so diligently release daily updates and stick to this idea, which also proves in the early stages what incredible potential this game concept offers with the prototype already implemented, even if it still seems a bit unpolished here and there.

Many game breaking bugs. Loading blueprints of my ships doesn't work properly. Had a crash with no error message and when I reentered the game the ship was missing tons of parts. The parts are in my inventory, but I was just tired of reconstructing the ship. In this game it's really important that blueprint saving and loading works properly and it doesn't work at all. I do enjoy Open Sea quite a lot, but there is very little content. It reminds of me of Terratech. Wait a year. Edit: I've changed my recommendation to yes. Firstly because I think you can have a lot of fun for very little money. Secondly because the developers are awesome. This is an indie developer that will private chat with you about your problems and help you solve them. A for effort!

The game is promising, fun and interesting, I really like to build something and it's especially nice when it works - thanks for this game, but still the game is quite raw, I wonder if the game will add a cooperative function so that I can swim with a friend and explore the open sea?

First impression review.. Boot up after install and I can't read text as it appears to be in Chinese. Quit. Go to community page. See the temporary language fix, done. Back into the game. Immediately obsessed at getting a sub 5 second time on the 1st stage. Quit out to make a cuppa. Come back and patch being applied to fix the language issue. So far so good.
