Review brought to you by : [url=store.steampowered.com/curator/34470115/]TentacleBunny's Cozy Cottage Scrap Garden: The Day Before, is a short 15 to 30 minute demo of an indie adventure/platformer that gives players a little taste of what the main game is all about. Even tho this is a short demo, it gives you all the right vibes on what the main game has to offer. It is an indie game created by Flazm Interactive’s Egidijus Bachur and Alexey Davydov. And in it, you can experience the life of an odd little robot called C4N, aka Canny, as he explores his surroundings to understand where he is and what is going on. Scrap Garden: The Day before is a very short experience but also a very cute and fun one. You control Canny as he wakes up inside an abandoned house and you have to make way and explore your surroundings. The gameplay does have some flaws and it might take you a few seconds to get used to it but nothing too hard that would spoil the fun of playing it and enjoying the story. The level design is a little bit basic since it is a demo so it can only portray a small portion of the game to entice the players to get the full version. But it does not sell it short in any way. Yes, it has some minor bugs sometimes and controls might not respond well while trying to fight the monsters but overall, it is a solid demonstration of what you may find (if not more) on the full game. The backgrounds are beautiful and it really gives you that sensation that you are going back in time to play an old adventure/platformer from consoles and it is an awesome feeling. Sound design is really well done, not too much and it gives you the right audio cues for all that is happening on the screen. Sometimes something simple can have an enormous effect and that is perfect. This demo was a pleasant surprise for me and what made me buy the full game. It gives you the right vibes and amount of fun. It is pleasing to the eyes and ears, the story is quite charming and by the end of it you fall in love with Canny and want to know more about this little fella. If you have the time and you enjoy these kind of games, feel free to support the creators because this project shows that they put a lot of effort and love into this and it is worth to play.

Feeling extremely dizzy at the first level, and the switching perspective effect is futile. The Mouse is too sensitive in playing even though you lowered the index of setting before the start. It’s quite a lovely story and some its achievements are interesting too. However, there is no distinct instruction for players and I even died once (jump out from the window)before I found the right way to get out of the room. Friendly hint: you just need to put another battery back to where the phone exploded. And the next journey is usual nothing notable to say but as a robot your enemy should be rats? Seriously speaking, the chunky robot which the player controls looks like a rubbish bin exactly. At the level 3, you will meet the hidden achievement-Pizza Time, take care! The determination of jump in this game is kind of problematic, hence it’s hard to get through the hurdle on the water. Easily get restart from the very beginning of the current level as it was saved automatically and the interval is quite distant. If you are not patient enough , you may go nuts soon. Don’t be so harsh on this free game and it’s worth a shot on the whole.

Game is fun, good looking and easy to play! Loved it. Some small cons: the camera is way too sensitive, but I did get used to it after a few minutes, the doors that cost a number of nuts and bolts to enter actually just drain your entire "bank account" but this didn't effect the game negatively. Overall great demo, can't wait to play the full version!

Pros + Cute and heatwarming characters + Beautiful scenary and graphics + Ambient music + Interesting story Cons - Short - Unskipabble cutscenes (unless you're in Dev Mode) - Controls not so suitable for keyboard & mouse - Simple puzzle Why it's recommended? Because it's fun and free.

+ Easy Achievements + Nice Graphics + Fun little demo - Camera in Chapter 2 - Depth perception - Boss The story is cute and it looks nice actually. It runs really well. Nice little exploration for a demo but the camera control in Chapter 2 is annoying. You don't spend much time there but the camera moves with your WASD/Arrow keys but it also moves with your mouse meaning the camera is moving two different times at the same time. The mouse is a controller to pick and throw stuff so this is a little annoying at times. The boss comes out of you out of nowhere and you are given no hints as how to hurt it. By time you figured it out you have taken damage from it hiding underground. Not good for those going for the no-hit achievement. The camera angle in this scene will effect if you get hit by one of the boss attacks, the floating red lasor thingies. The perception you are seeing may make you get hit by it even it seemed it was no where near you. Otherwise this is a cute and quick demo for the full game. The achievements are easy to get a part from the no-hit achievement so yeah give this little demo a go and then see if you want the full-game or not.
