Before Scarlet Tower didn't play any of these type of games. It seems there are more and more games like this being released recently. Can't say I am a massive fan of the genre but this game somehow wheeled me in. The game isn't difficult as it seems to be about bullet dodging and levelling up. Played through a couple of levels so far and the fact you can just play this for half an hour and then go do something else makes it really attractive. The loop is short enough to get through and gives you a lot of gratifying upgrades while doing it. The only thing it misses, is that it could be slightly more difficult to play as I quite easily can finish the next level when being able to complete the previous difficulty.

The last update 21 Nov. 2024 did not balance anything but it did fix minor and major bugs showing the developer is actively working on fixing and updating the game!

People complaining are mostly older players that got used to easily one shotting everything being one shot to the new content. The devs added equipments which heavily influence stats, older players aren't willing to put more hours to get some gear and dedided to just complain about the game. I totally recommend it as a new player, it's fun and has lots of QOL compared to other bullet heavens

Love the game, but I have to agree with some other comments. I unlocked almost everything within the first 5 hours. The rest of the game I have basically spent repeatedly grinding the same levels with a little change in enemies just to unlock a few of the weapon evolution I had left to unlock. Now that I have unlocked every single character, all the main and sub weapons and only have a few things left to unlock. I have completed the first level to its fullest. the second level to level 4. the third level to level 3. I feel like I have played enough to have my fill of the game since there is nothing interesting left to unlock. my wishes: 1. I wish the main character weapons were able to evolve. 2. I wish there were more weapons altogether. 3. I wish we were able to substitute the character ultimate attacks. 4. I wish the characters had more than just 2 secondary abilities. 5. I wish the variety of mission allies you were able to have join was a lot larger. 6. I wish there was more interesting boss fights or even elite enemies to fight.

A little bit of spoiler explaining the game !!!!! this is a great action rouge like game . its Not a clone to Vamp survivors its does fall into the same Genre though anyone saying its a clone either don't know what a cloned game is or just haven't played it long enough. each charector to play has its unique weapon to start with. Then there are i think 5 other weapons u can use on top of that and then u can merge them 5 after upgrading, each weapon being very unique. there is a decent learning curve its not something i figured out in an hour . also has pretty cool looking mini bosses and bosses . i have played for 10 hours and i have my favorite person half way finished {ex more u play with them more abilites u get for them and more stages u beat the more u unlock. its a decent 10 out of 10 for the 5 dollar action rouge like games . and no problems running it at all. and its $5 that's it.
