Find it easy to relax and immerse in the story, when I feel burned out from work.

Love the game. First played the free demo and then had to download the full game :-). Also finished it all in one session. The flow of the skill checks in combat is amazing, it's so fluid and together with the music it makes you feel in control, swift and elegant (my character at least). The only question I have is about the character customization - No different colors of eyes or hair or skin? Or maybe I missed how to find that. The people on the game have brown hair :-). Really looking forward to the third act!

These days, it is difficult to find a good visual novel game that isn't porn. Sacred Fire gives you an excellent story where choices really matter. Only downside is that they made me wait for the release for ages.

My only complaint is that the developer doesn't have boatloads of cash laying around that he can hire other people for to do more for this game and make more like it. Being a solo dev is hard work and this is very well-done.

you can choose to negatively impact your view of others around you, friend or foe, for no cost - but it requires exp points to shape a positive, more empathetic perspective, and that is only one example of how much attention to detail the devs paid to the design of this game. it is much easier to defer to spite, defensiveness and bitterness than it is to make an honest effort to understand and empathize with another - especially when conflict is present between them. i love it, as it feels very realistic in terms of character building on a psychological level. i've never played a more human visual novel before, and it genuinely deserves the praise it receives. my only complaint is that it feels like the story was written with a male perspective in mind and playing a female character makes you feel kind of penciled in rather than your own established character. but it's a small flaw among an otherwise vast sea of wonderful design and storytelling. gripping, immersive and it makes you really think about your choices and why you make them. absolutely recommend and i hope they continue on with more projects after this one has finished because they are just too damn good not to. i wholeheartedly believe that this kind of therapeutic design reflects the future direction of game development (at least one branch of it, anyways).
