It's an ok brawler that starts slow, but gets faster after act 1 so much you can actually finish it in about 5 hours. You can do a little grind to find better weapons, money and level up and that will allow you to make the whole game much easier. As others said levels gets quite repetitive and the strategy is really simple: just learn when to dodge and when to block and then basically use the same combo over and over.

Not bad, there are some other bugs and balance at times, but nothing serious. The game is quite simple. Best with a discount.

This game is fun in a shallow kind of way. It's basically just a button masher with RPG elements. Compared to the other games in the "Sacred" series it's a lot more simplistic since you move from linear area to linear area killing enemies and picking up weapons. The game can be completed in under five hours and all of the characters play pretty similarly. The only one that really requires an adjustment to play style is the mage. The ranger is way overpowered and his special move can instakill bosses. Generally speaking you can use the same combo to knock down 95% of enemies and then just hammer on them on the ground until they're dead. The graphics are OK but I actually dislike the music. Usually the music is the last thing I complain about in a game like this but it's not very melodic and very repetitive and grating. As you progress you unlock new moves but you barely need to use any of them because the game is so easy. The only thing I really struggled with was the final boss fight which was also very easy. You can purchase these crystal items that increase the damage you deal and it makes an already easy game even easier. For some weird reason you don't get any money until the final act and then the game starts flooding you with money. I recommend it if you want to play all the Sacred games but Sacred 1 and 2 are much better games overall. This one is just too shallow to bother with if you aren't planning on playing the whole series.

I had come back to this game after years of having played it. Apparently I didn't finish it before, and honestly, I didn't remember anything of it. That say a lot of hop much of an impression it made on me, for good or bad. In general, it has nothing new to offer, and it starts VERY basic, almost to the point to think it doesn't worth the time and abandoning it (like I did on the first round coming back to it). It certainly takes off as the game advances, the levels are fairly entertaining to go through, and there's even a bit of grinding to level up the character and buy better equipment, taking challenges and replaying levels to obtain bonuses. The characters play quite similarly, except for the Warrior that doesn't have a ranged attack, this could be a big disadvantage, as the combat can be quite confusing when there are many enemies on screen, and it's good to take distance. Something that really bothers me is that characters don't share progress, so you're stuck with the same character if you want to get to the end of the game. I find this boring and unnecessary. Also, on the first levels, the "tips" messages get stuck on screen and block a big part of it until the end of the level even if you do what they say, very silly glitch, I don't know how they left this bug going on, it happens EVERY TIME. The general feel of the game is that is quite basic and simple, and that it could have some more to give and be something special. The combat isn't very complex and the differences between enemies don't make you engage them very differently. Blocking is completely useless, I just run+hit and then slash in the corner or roll to dodge, not much more is needed. There's no much to improve or personalise the character neither. In general doesn't strike line anything special, but I'm curious to get to the end at least with the Archer (which is the one I have progressed the most) but I doubt I'll be playing the whole thing with each character. Recommended on sale and with not much expectations.
