I enjoy this software. It reminds me of FruityLoops and/or Guitar Pro back when I use to make stupid Midi Music Files. It is a bit overwhelming at first but once you put some time into it you can really create some unique pieces. There are things I you wish you could do in the program that (if they are able to be done) are really not explained. That would be the only complaint. Otherwise, it is maybe $20 on sale for the full bundle. Get inspired. As far as I can see in the EULA everything you make is yours, so that is something to consider as well.

10/10 I used to use Rythmik Ultimate, and even then I rarely used it, and used mainly MuseScore instead. I bought the supporter bundle I think it's called since it was on sale, and I really prefer Studio to Ultimate. It has a way nicer UI, and has the ability to add your own samples which is a big step up from the lack of it in Ultimate. The clip editor is also generally easier to use compared to Ultimate, and has the piano keys on the bottom rather than the side. I'm working on a song currently in Studio using primarily sounds from the rock category, and I'm not sure if it's default with Studio, or gets added with the dlc for Ultimate, but I'm really glad I have access to it now as it feels much less restricting being able to use guitars and better sounding drums. I definitely recommend getting the supporter bundle while it's on sale as you get both Ultimate and Studio, as well as a suite of dlc for both.

As someone with absolutely no other experience with music making, this software was really nice and approachable. I first used Rytmik Ultimate on the Nintendo 3DS of all things, so transitioning to Studio on PC was a nice upgrade. Definitely recommend.

I am running this from Linux, Ubuntu22 (not official supported, so runs under steam's proton). It seems to run fine.. the only issue I found was I could not change the (default) music folder. To fix this I let "steamapps/compatdata/657280/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Music/Rytmik" be a symbolic link to my own folder. Concerning the editor it is easy to use and I like that it displays 'hints' when I hoover a button. I am not a music genius, so the idea of copy+paste the clips and making duplicate of clips and adjusting them really helps me. Also the playback of songs/clips while changing instruments and/or applying effects make it easy to edit. In short a good music/sound editor and I see a lot of possibilities, like adjusting the instruments with all kind of effects. This is ideal for game music, jingles and sound effect creation (even 8-bit for retro games).
