Not a video game, more of a visual novel trying to capture the feeling of playing dumb games to pass the time with an eccentric friend after school. In no particular order some odd things to know or I would recommend about this game: - Settings menu is 'unlocked' about 2.5 hours in. Use volume mixer to change sound - The game autosaves frequently in the bottom left, no manual save - No way to leave game. Alt-f4. - There's 7 chapters, some quirky things happen when you relaunch the game so I'd play 1 per day and not binge. - There's a multiplayer mario party mode that my girlfriend enjoyed a lot.

This is an extremely creative game and has some of the best presentation I've ever seen in the medium. The concept is you're a kid in school playing a D&D style tabletop RPG that your friend made and the visuals are made up of cardboard structures, paper-mache, and drawings in a notebook. In addition to being stylistically striking, the game also features some surprisingly charming and funny writing. In terms of gameplay, RPG Time switches between a wide variety of genres that ensures it never gets boring, but the quality of these varies wildly. If you're okay with some inconsistent gameplay that feaures very high highs and very low lows as well as a baffling lack of settings (including a way to exit the game without using ALT + F4), this is definitely worth playing. With a little bit of refinement I think this developer can make something really special. 7.5/10

The game is undoubtedly a hidden diamond. Everything in this game is stunningly flawless, except for two things: 1. There's no "Menu" (you won't be able to adjust the volume of the annoying soundtrack). 2. There's no way to exit the game (only alt+f4).

Cute and fun. My only complaint is it should have a "take a break" button to end the game from the inside. You literally have to kill the program to exit it. 10-12 hours of playtime. Just a straight up RPG set up as if it was run by a preteen dungeon master, all making it seem to be a real childhood friend you are playing with.
