Best unfinished game I've ever played. A friend gave me a dubiously legal copy in middle school, and I loved it so much that I came back and bought it for real once I had my own computer. Seriously great on its own despite not actually being finished, with a bunch of community-made mods to smooth down the rougher, less complete parts of the game.

Similar to many games but has its charm. It gets boring after a while, especially in the endgame. Sometimes I didn't know what to do next. After a few years, when I've forgotten about this game, I'll play it again just for the nostalgia.

Roguelands is a fun game and it is well worth the price. However to get the best experience mods are required for bug fixes and quality of life features.

Played with my kids after school. They died and lol'd while flopping around on the ground. I started figuring out the gear progression while they figured out how to spawn more mobs; I started being able to slay the masses of monsters that were dancing around their floppy corpses which only resulted in more dieing and lol'ing. I don't know if the game is any good, but it showed me that my kids are trolls.

It is unfinished, but there is a lot to do and play through still even in this state. If you can pick it up on sale it's a pretty good little game. The graphics are styled really nicely in my opinion, and the gameplay and progression are pretty fun.
