Fresh gameplay mechanics with a rewarding and addicting core loop. The aesthetic details are pretty, evocative, and cohesive. One thing I love about this game is the way the '-lite' mechanics are added: carrying along a module from the previous run allows for fun strategization and a connected feeling between runs; whereas the investment into the small town is a different and fun way to track your progress as you make your way through the runs themselves. I can imagine playing this game for years to come :)

I played the tutorial in DEMO for 5 minute then I instantly bought this game. Immediately played for 4 hours and it felt like a while only. I have played ton of deck build game most deck build/turn base rogue like game has common problem, either they are: - highly predicable, seem have ton of choice but there is always one only best solution (e.g Star renegades) -ton of variety, high difficulty due to high RNG issue (e.g Griftland) First, the two game I mention above is very good, I both enjoyed for more than 100 hours each but Rogue Voltage got a sweet spot between variety and predicable issue due to change in circult, and you can see the action sequence there are ton of variety with predicable issue, not RNG heavy( RNG for shop imo) every round can let me though ton of chain reaction lost the game due to mistake but not heavily on RNG is quite important in continuously enjoying a deck build game amazing game. Thanks dev!

To summarize why i'm enjoying this game so much, i've played too many roguelikes and this is the one that does things differently in ways that matter. *No predetermined cards or relics! you construct your abilities yourself by wiring up upgradeable modules on your characters' racks. *9 unique characters that are sent out in pairs, which allows for 36 different starting loadouts, tons of module variety with a ton of new content already in the pipes. *Timeline turn system that you can manipulate using grav. charge mechanics (wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff) *Cool theme and setting where time broke. The game is very mentally stimulating, every turn is a satisfying puzzle that's rarely ever stressful. Reminds me of an engine building board game called "Gizmos". Rogue Voltage is guaranteed to cure your roguelike fatigue by mixing things up where it counts with simple but clever engineering, absolutely worth your money and your time.

Personally, I love this game. It's a fresh and unique take on the deckbuilder genre. Instead of cards, one assembles a selection of modules. There are infinite ways to generate, manipulate and direct the precious energy. The goal is to chose modules that synergize with other existing ones and counter the monsters one encounters. There's something chess-like to the design and the unforgiving strategic consequences. Depending on the selected difficulty, I have found that even one mistake can turn into a fatal disadvantage within a few turns.

What a fantastic, unique, and cerebral game. Truly unique concept. I'm glad devs stayed with the project, even though the game did not (yet) get as much recognition as it deserves. What a great effort. Good job! --- The game features modular machinery that you get to fight with. Every small bit might look insignificant, but upon closer examination of the syngergies, it soon emerges as a crucial piece in *some* operation. --- Probably no other game like this, today.
