This game is HARD. It starts off pretty simple, but damn, towards the end the platforming is as precise as can be. The movements feel very fluid, very smooth, the music is beautiful and I didn't really get tired of it even though I spent hours stuck on specific levels . It's a very simple game, simple concept, but executed very well. There is no scenario or story, you have to enjoy just pure platforming for the sake of it.

RITE is a honestly an odd platformer, not in the sense that it has strange mechanics or graphics, but more so that there are clearly elements that only someone with enough experience in platformers wouldknow, but also mistakes that a rookie does. For instance, why does some of the levels in the final area require you to do the same thing +1? If you need to do a section of a level by pure logic if you do that two times in a row is going to be harder, and if you do it three times in a row is even harder, but that is just cheap difficulty, and I'm talking about the levels where one coin is put at the end door that you need to reach before activating it otherwise you are not going to get the coin on your way out. It is not good at all that the challenge of some of those levels boils down to that +1 where others have different sections with the coins that require a complete different strategy (there is even one that increases the gap between the walls by one block each time so the timing of your wall jumps change throught the level, and levels like that proves that even with the slighest modification, the player will be tasked to find different strategies to something that look the same but is not, and be rewarded for it). On the other side of things, you have levels like the Coyote one that doesn't require it to be completed but it is indeed necessary to get all the coins, that is excellent in every sense of the word, Coyote should always provide you with an extra margin of error as well as not being a must to finish a level, but using it properly will reward you with an extra challenge as developers can put bonus if the player is able to use it. Again, something an actual good developer would take into account when designing a platformer. The difficulty of the game is solid overall, not too much nor too little, a good middle ground (if you decide to go for the 100% like I did, otherwise it would be an easy game). If there is something I would say I actually dislike is that the air movement is way too fast for its own good, and the falling speed is ridiculous, it feels like gravity hates you which presents a problem when you need to fall down and time it for a one block gap surrounded with spikes, and even more problematic if you need to do that multiple times in a row. Another thing that I think is really bad is that when descending while holding a wall, there is a slight increase in speed less than 1 second after you first touch the wall, and that slight increment does create issues because in combination with the falling speed and air movement you will more than likely reach the wall at different points of it, thus creating incosistencies when trying to play certain parts of the levels. Despite the aforementioned flaws, RITE does indeed deliver to something I was hoping, having a good experience most of the time while playing a platformer. Sure, its not The End is Nigh levels of enjoyment but it was nice still, and would recommend it if you want to play for a few hours a good game.

One of the best pure platformers I've played. Elegant level design, becoming exponentially more challenging as you continue. Super rewarding and well made all around

Cute little jump and run game! Its perfect when you just wanna hop in and out :3 The levels are challenging , but not too hard. After a few tries, you get the hang of how the mechanics in this game work. The soundtrack is very relaxing and adds to the experience of the game. If i had a steam deck, I would prbbly love to play this in the train, or on the go in general!
