I'm a sucker for romance and recently got into Yuzosoft novels. This one is my favorite so far, specifically due to Nijouin Hazuki's route. It has some of the most adorable sequences I've ever read, and way less H scene BS that makes me cringe through some of these. Really solid characters all around, and a solid MC. Sometimes I want to smack him, but hes real. Its satisfying and heartwarming to see his development through each route...except Mitsukasa's; after the confession scene, for whatever reason, he comes off like one of my friends from college. And no one should come off like one of my friends from college, they're in jail now.

Riddle Joker is probably the weakest of the Yuzusoft titles I've played, but it's still pretty good. Top notch interface, lots of save slots, and a flowchart makes getting around easy. Overall it's worth playing if you like Yuzusoft games. It'll take you about 45-50 hours if you are a completionist. The common route is good, and the individual routes vary in quality. There's 5 girl routes, and one "all alone" ending. The MC is decent, and the premise of Astrals and their effect on society is an interesting one. Recommended route order from least fave to best girl: Hazuki- Just ok, she's too meek for my tastes. Chisaki- Ok for a bonus route Nanami- It was a better route than I expected Mayu- Plot relevant, and I really liked her character, just over the top with the clingy girl trope Ayase- Plot relevant, and a really good route Ayase is the best girl, and if you only want to play one route, hers is the one to choose. Mayu's route gets into the lore as well. There's short "after" stories for a bit more playtime. 18+ patch is available, nothing special. What the heck is a "Riddle Joker" anyway? Title makes no sense even after finishing the game.

This game is top quality comfort food of anime romcom. It may not offer a story that changes your perspective or deep worldbuilding, but what it does offer is bright and colourful art, charming dialogue, and above all cute anime girls. And sometimes that's all you need. If you're looking for something to wind down to after a long day then I would recommend this title.

do you like x-men (or equivalent sci-fi about "superhuman") series? have you ever fantasize them having sex, w/ their abilities in used during sex? well, if the answer are yes, then this vn is just for you lol joke asides, despite this is yet another erotic-game, the story is quite good and can be a standalone game (w/o the porn aspect) in itself. too bad that only 2 routes ( ayase and mayu ) delve deep into the mystery of these supernatural power (the other feel like fillers). also by playing either route quite spoil one another... wish to see more creative story-telling with routes that don't spoil each other while focusing on the main concept!
