I was enjoying this game until I came across a deal-breaking bug: armies disappearing. Not just one army, all of them, including garrisons. Every game I have played has encountered this problem. Edit: They seem to have fixed the disappearing armies bug, so I am happy to endorse the game. Right now, I would say it is good, but not great.

I enjoyed the game. it's similar enough to civ 6 that makes it not too difficult to pick up with civ 6 knowledge. The differences are refreshing and interesting. I do like the battles, for those who like turn based hex SLG games. The game however does need a lot more work in terms of explaining what everything does. Being able to customise your unit is a great, but knowing what every thing does is hard, when all you can see is the stats. like a bow and arrow does same or more damage than machine gun for example. how does that work. so even though i'm at the end of the game I still use bow and arrow. I think by some trials, howitzer attacks multiple units. and the burst ability I don't get what it does. Airfields can destroy your entire stack of army, there should be some sort of air defense. I think civ 6 air strike is much more reasonable. There's still plenty of bugs minor ones like units not showing on map (even though it is still there) I think I got gravity gun really early (bug) but when I tried using it the game freezes. also sometimes when you attack a city you can only deploy one unit at a time (same with defense). not sure if that's intentional or a bug. can be advantageous or not. Look forward to future updates

Good game, Good concept. Some bugs but not game breaking. Developers should try to patch those out and get in some quality of life features.

Even at 1.0, it's an early and hopefully evolving 4X game. It's got some cool ideas, nails enough of the core around units, tech tree, and exploration to bring some enjoyable hours. However, it's not super polished or widespread with information to fill in the gaps in a complex systems. In some ways, this has been part of the fun to try things out and have no idea how they'll go, discovery. On the other, it does mean there are areas where knowledge of what an action does only occurs after you take it or not at all if you can't find the change. Also, while is doesn't have as much depth as bigger games, it is priced accordingly and the depth it has is impressive in that regard. Ultimately, I suggest playing if you are a fan of the genre and OK being a part of the ride in a way you might not have had with other established games in this space. And if the developers keep up the updates and community!

The visuals are nice, the UI is friendly (for a 4X game ofc), and the basics are easy to grasp. Enjoyed how the battles are made - really makes you rack your brains, instead of brute-forcing the rivals.
