Really annoying game about fighting in tight spaces where basically everything can damage you and you need to do things hitless to progress. But man when it finally clicks, it's amazing.

I feel like this game is extremely underappreciated! The graphics, the gameplay, the style, THE MUSIC, are all very very good and most importantly replayable. I never hear anyone talk about or even mention this game which is a shame because there is so much love put into this game that it's a shame I never hear about it. I highly recommend that enjoyers of roguelikes and or bullet hells give this game a solid try!

Thisgame is awesome. A truly good roguelite. But, like many other roguelites, it suffers with pacing issues. After you've beaten the game past the 8th level of difficulty, you'll not have unlocked even 10% of what the game has to offer. That's not a testament of how much the game has to offer, but rather how little it allows you to unlock after one successful run. For some, playing 60h in order to unlock 10% is good enough. To me, it is definitely too much. So I won't be seeing this game in it's fully unlocked version unfortunately. But don't be discouraged to buy this game. It was super fun while the fun lasted to me.

Revita is definitely one of the best roguelike games out there! The combat is genuinely fun for many runs and the progression is very well designed so that you unlocking new and interesting things at constant rate. It also stays away from 'Dark Meta' pattern that is typical in roguelikes, where you are upgrading your character with small permanent bonuses, essentially making the game easier over time. The progression here is better, instead opting to open up new gameplay options that give the player more choices that increase the variability of runs. It's unknown if the 2.0 update will ever release after being put on hold, but even without it, the game is more than worth the asking price. There is also a beta branch available that has many of the 2.0 features implemented, but I personally can't speak to that, as I'm holding on to some hope that if it eventually does release, I can experience it completely fresh. I'll also note that despite being Steam Deck 'Unsupported' currently, it works perfectly on Steam Deck without having to tweak anything.
