Resident Evil?! Zombies? No, more like insect exterminator simulator. Approved, 10/10. Quick spoiler on how the game works: you gotta travel to China to bring back an item to Africa, but you lost gasoline and now you need to play a piano to catch a plane and go to Russia to activate the energy for the elevator back in China. Do you still remember about Africa? if no, mix some herbs and try again.

On Steam Deck, out of the box, the game is not so great. It makes deck hot for not aparent reason, uses to much Wats, has lines glitches after you get to play as Billy. Luckily, i have a fix, ans dome tweaks so you can enjoy RE0 HD on deck. Im using OLED by the way which is even better, cooler, quieter and lasts longer. -Resident Evil 0 HD remake Issue: LINES 1. âš™ > Properties > General > Launch Options: DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% 2. âš™ > Properties > Compatibility: Proton GE 7-49 3. âš™ > Developer > Delete proton files. 4. Start the game and wait for 5 minutes. In-Game Settings: 1. Display > ORIGINAL 2. Video > 1280x720, window, on, 60.00Hz, 60FPS. Deck Settings: 1. QAM > "60 FPS (60HZ)", scaling mode: "Fill", scaling filter: "FSR", FSR sharpness: "0" 2. QAM > Decky Plugin > PowerTools > GPU Governor: "powersave", Persistent Provile: "ON" Now the game is great and enjoyable!!! True classic! Have fun!!!

I came into this game right after playing re1. At first it might seem similar. The camera, high quality pre-rendered backgrounds, searching for keys and solving puzzles. However there are key differences. There's no item storage, but you can drop items anywhere and they won't vanish, you control 2 characters, each char has unique items. Billy has a lighter, Rebecca has a mixing set. I had mixed feelings while playing this game, it was so good and so bad at the same time. I feel no temptation to replay it at the moment. I still feel like it was worth playing, it gave more depth to Rebecca, and Billy was awesome. Some of the level designs were pretty good, especially the train. Although the training facility felt a bit too similar to the mansion. I did run into some annoying moments. Like accidentally making the Ai partner unfallow me and then having to run through the map with them as well. Being a bit punished by making one char go up instead of the other in one section, i had to backtrack from the 3rd location to the 2nd one. Being swallowed by a frog and losing some progress. Lots of running around and being lost. However in general I still had fun, and it will remain as a special resident evil entry in my heart.

I get it. People are bombing the reviews of all Capcom games because of DRM. It's shit, but I'm not here to talk about that. They clerarly bought the game. I'm going to discuss Resident Evil 0. A game people already played, I'm sure, but I never did. It had a bad reputation for being a bad game. So I just skipped it. Well, I played it for the first time now, and completed it. It's completely fine. Maybe the problem is it is too much like the original Resident Evil. But it originally released on the gamecube in 2002, and that's only a handful of years after the original Resident Evil so to me it's not that bizarre for the game to be similar in design and controls. As a PC port, which came to Steam I guess in 2016, it works totally fine. I had no problems running the game. Obviously it's an older game so graphically it's not a power house, but similar to the Resident Evil 1 HD port I found it to look and play completely fine. The acting in this one is what I want from a Resident Evil game. I was disappointed they fixed it in the other games, and these newer Resident Evil remakes. I don't want the acting to be good, or the plot to make sense. Resident Evil is dumb, with hilariously bad acting, and that is really a big part of the experience for me. So, this one having that iconic terrible acting that the original release of Resident Evil 1 had on PSX- I absolutely love that. It serves to break up the tension and really helps (me anyway) when you get frustrated to have a laugh at the terrible delivery coming out of Rebecca's mouth. The writing is iconically bad as well. Just like the original Resident Evil. I realize a lot of it is translation, but it's so much more fun when people react in ways that are overblown or ridiculous. And how is Rebecca so stupid- like a 12 year old- if she's working with these professionals? It's complete nonsense, but that's part of the Resident Evil charm that I like from these old Resident Evil games. The new Resident Evils are fun for different reasons, but even though the writing and acting is better the logic is still just as stupid. Sadly though with it being closer to perfection this takes away the comedy. That's fine. Capcom clearly wants these games to be sincere. Whatever. All in all I thought this game was totally fine. It felt like another classic Resident Evil game, to me, and wasn't shit like Code Veronica (which- to me- was Capcom's first foray into making these serious action games which they should not be). The one thing I hated, though. Why no chests to put stuff in? You just leave stuff scattered all over the ground. Such a bizarre and annoying choice. Could be worse I guess. The map system is really good so it's easy to find stuff again when you put it on the ground. Anyway, highly recommended for fans of what Resident Evil used to be. Less so if you don't actually like Resident Evil nonsense. Basically if you liked the HD remaster port of Resident Evil 1 (like me) than I suspect you'd like this one too.
