Dark humor, Gory Violence, Unique Storytelling and Offensive Jokes... I genuinely bought this game because I thought it was released in the early 2000s... (due to its art style) I bought it because i missed playing games with late 90s to early 2000s violent comedy and I hadn't played this game before so i thought i'd give it a go... I played a great portion of the game, enjoyed its violence, the vast array of options it gives you in puzzle-solving, the choices given, the unique setting and creative story-line, the offensive jokes etc... and then I said to myself "wow, I wish they still made games like this"... imagine how (pleasantly) surprised I was to find out the game was released in 2023, halfway through playing it... If you haven't played this game yet, I really recommend it. I can't wait for the sequel...

This is a very unique "game". Maybe not the best title to elicit attention or describe the game. But the short answer here is, if you want a action packed, beautifully drawn and animated, and often quite funny interactive movie, this is a great one of those. Its a one of a kind experience, that I could only really compare to a game like "Another World". I never liked point and click adventure games, I've bounced off all the classics, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, all of them. So when I found out that the creator of the ICONIC flash choose your own adventure games, "Ray", made a point and click game with his special brand of chose your own adventure features, I pretty much dismissed it. But something about it was drawing me in, I don't know if it was the very enticing art, the hyper detailed violence it promised, or my deep love and affection for the "Ray" series, but I ended up buying it. And I was very happy I did. There isn't much "gameplay" here, the only real "game" is the hacking and lock picking minigames, and I almost wish they weren't in the game, i almost feel like they put them in just to have something more like a "game". But thats ok, thats perfectly fine, this isn't a "game" its a interactive piece of fiction, a choose your own adventure where you click through beautifully drawn and detailed locals, finding items and solving puzzles, though its never unguessable adventure game shtick like in those older games. Its pretty easy, I never had to look through a walk through or anything. There is a hint system that works just fine if you really get stuck. You can die, but the death will just reset you to the choice that lead to your death, this isnt cheap its good because you can always make a choice out of curiosity with out worrying about "losing", curiosity is greatly rewarded in this game, don't play it unless your are going to wander around clicking everything. There is a ton of choices that will change elements of the game, so you can go back for second playthroughts, maybe even a third. The real attraction, and genius, to this work is how amazing well it does a "Stranger in a Strange Land" story. You are slammed into a world that you dont understand, right there with your charactor, and its such a joy to feel so disoriented and discover this world. Its very original, and honestly I've never seen a world as well developed and interesting to explore as this one in a game. This game, dont read spoilers, just experience it, its extremely entertaining, and the art is so well done it carries the feeling of the work so well. So in total, don't come into here expecting a "game" this is an interactive experience, one of the most entertaining experiences I've played in the last 10 years honestly. If you are at all intrested in point and click, chose your own adventure, or, honestly, amazingly drawn grotestque violence, PLAY REPeLLA FELLA.

If you're looking for a visual novel/point-and-click adventure that's a mix of Metal Gear Solid, Fallout, and Sassy the Sasquatch, here it is. Very strong on the story telling, and unlike many other games of this genre, packs in a lot of interactions and choices that matter. Excellent voice acting and writing, absolutely worth the price.

So, let me tell you a little story. When i was a little boy in elementery school, my friends and i played a game which we called the "south park vice city game". A little flash game called Ray. Since nobody of us could speak any english, and we all were much too young to understand anything from it, we tried to translate with old school dictionaries. This worked fine, untill our teachers found out what we used the school computers for and we werent allowed to use it for games anymore. I still remember, that we all thought phil collins from genesis made this game and thats why he was in Vice City Stories a few years later. So a few weeks ago, ray came to my mind, i didnt think about this game in years. I went to newgrounds and played it again, it was a real good feeling playing ray again. Kinda nostalgic too, since i left elementary in 2007. There i saw, that the creator of ray made a game on steam. I knew instantly that i have to buy that and what can i say? I really like Repella Fella. One can see, that a very creative mind is behind it, you achieved to take a concept like a nuclear war and make something completly new with it, which i will replay again after writing this review. The characters are fun, the world is very interesting and i really could never anticipate what will happen next. All i can do is wait patiently for part 2! Thank you for good times in my childhood with Ray and for a really good experience with Repella Fella in 2024!

I'm so confused how more people don't know about this game! it's such a underrated gem and in my opinion it's worth the full price! it has everything a good game needs, it has a dark humor, carefully well crafted world, AND actions have consequences. Really good game.
