Really fun Twin-Stick shooter, even more fun with friends c: I had my personal gripes with the game, but after the swap from gearbox to being self published I really enjoy the new path the game is taking.

After 200+ hours of gametime and reaching max gear score, I can say that Relic Hunters Legend is one of the most underrated looter shooters that I've played in years. Story is really good imo (if you don't care about the story, you can just skip it and play the missions on their own), progression is also great (especially after the latest update that changed how the other hunters are unlocked, now by leveling up your rebel rank and getting rebel tokens), soundtrack is great, I enjoy the artstyle, and the devs are actually very transparent and communicative to the community. Do not listen to the reviews from launch, most of the issues listed in those have been since resolved and yea, there's also a offline mode now if you don't have a good internet connection (even tho it's more of a second save slot). Game is really good, would recommend even on full price. 8/10

Good gameplay, (a good 100+ hours before gets a bit tedious), allthough i skipped all the story becuase i wan play not watch cutscenes. Plays a lo tlike borderlands, HIGHLY reccomend after playing for 20? hours to go the discord to see the guides on how to actually get relics though

So, I came across Relic Hunters Legend when I did a search for top-down shooters on Steam and I'm SO GLAD it showed up in my search and that I decided to give it a chance! I'm about 6 hours into the game and can't put it down! The mix of cute vibrant art style, super fun and addictive gameplay/combat, endearing characters and story, weapon variety and depth are closer to perfection imo. Oh, and did I mention it's a looter shooter?? For the price tag it's a total steal and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys top-down and/or looter shooters. Oh, and lastly it runs like a dream on the Steam Deck, and I can't wait to see how awesome it looks on my Legion Go when it arrives this week.
