Very hard for me to give a positive score to this one but I'll tell you this - it may look quite enticing to play through this game in one or a couple of sittings, but please take your time with Reigns. Otherwise, the repetitiveness and RNG-induced frustration will kill you, trust me. Especially the latter. That being said, some things I enjoyed: - The black and absurd humor - Game rewarding you with new events, characters and cards from time to time, for that sweet dopamine hit - Ways of dying being one of the collectables and mechanics of this game (still haven't figured them all out) - The simplicity of it all: it's either swiping left or right to choose your action and move on with the story If you're ready for a game that will do everything in its power to discourage you from going forward due to intentionally bad and absurd RNG (think Darkest Dungeon but you can see it from a mile away and there's absolutely nothing you can do to prevent it), then go for it.

The "Tinder for Dictators" Simulator. I thought being a King meant power, wealth, and respect. Turns out, it’s just me sitting on a throne, swiping left and right on people’s problems like I’m looking for a date on a Friday night. The balance in this game is impossible. If I give the people a loaf of bread, the Church gets offended and burns me at the stake. If I tell the Army to relax, the neighboring kingdom invades and turns my head into a decorative vase. If I try to be a "nice guy," I get trampled by a mob. If I’m too rich, I choke on a golden pigeon during a feast. I’ve died in 45 different ways in under 20 minutes. My legacy isn't "The Great" or "The Conqueror"—it’s "The Guy Who Got Eaten by His Own Dog Because He Was Too Polite." I’m a terrible King, but at least the UI is smooth.

This one has the most basic gameplay of all the Reigns games, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Some of the other games get overly complicated and forget the appeal of the original, which is balancing all four meters by making yes or no choices. There's also a LOT of cards, and situations can change based on the choices you make. There's also multiple endings! The best ending is kind of hard to figure out, but not impossible.

You play as a medieval king making decisions by swiping left or right on cards. Every choice affects four stats: Church, People, Army, and Treasury. Let any stat max out or drop to zero, and your reign ends. Despite it's simplicity, the outcomes can be surprising as you play You'll unlock new characters, events, and cards which carries over between rulers While it can be fun at first, the gameplay gets repetitive quickly, and by the 10th run it gets exhausting to the point i want to uninstall the game! Recommended tho.
