Raging loop is one of my favorite visual novels of all time, however the true sad thing is it could've been even better to the point of being my top favorite visual novel. Unfortunately for one reason or another they decided to end the visual novel with a true end that will only leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth and will most likely make you upset, for they took something you really really liked only to ruin it in the end for no reason whatsoever other then incompetence or lack of resources to make a satisfying ending/s. Anyway I still think it's worth experiencing because everything that came before unlocking the true end is still extremely good, it's just depressing knowing that it could've been even better.

The game is good. It had already been well, well, somewhat well, received prior to the release of its English translation and that is that. It's a When They Cry wanna be and that's all you need to know. I am here mostly to talk about the translation itself, which is not good. There are too many occasions where the translation does not fit the character's tone in their original dialogue and there are misuse of English expressions. If these are more harmless issues there are also mistakes, and spelling errors out of all. I would recommend that English speakers keep the volume of the voice acting up so that they can at least understand the tone of a line based on the emotions in the performance.

I really enjoyed this game. If you read more detailed reviews you'll probably see people say the ending was boring, and it's true, the last few hours were kind of just lore dumps and the ending isn't that satisfying but as a whole the game gave me more than enough enjoyment that I can forgive a subpar ending. The warewolf type trials are super fun and I liked most of the characters well enough.

This is one of few stories/games about time looping that didn't at some point feel boringly repetitive in the slightest to me, despite the main actions being the same. I genuinely had so much fun reading the dialogue, I think all characters are quite entertaining and I like how the game manages to give various impressions of the same character simply based on the timeline. The plot is very entertaining too and I really enjoyed the whole "game" system. I also love the music and the extra stories are hilarious. Additionally, I find the flowchart very convenient and the keys-system is nice too, in order to unlock new endings and acquire information. Unfortunately however, I must admit that the last chapter (aka the solution and final reveal of the mystery) didn't quite impress me. Or rather, I liked the idea but it was poorly executed and left several plot holes. For example: the "solution" was reasonable to me but was executed in a too rushed and clichee way for my likings. Whereas the truth behind the mystery was actually interesting but there ended up being too many plot holes that didn't get explained and honestly were probably impossible to explain with the story's own truth/logic, because of the misleadings that happened throughout the story which gave the impression that the truth would go in a completely different direction. Also some stuff just still confuses me, like, a certain character's actions are completely unreasonable (and kinda felt like the main purpose of it was the shock-factor) and some information from the lore dump towards the end felt kinda vague and inconsistent but maybe I just have to read those chapters again. Nonetheless I still think that this game is amazing and despite the somewhat deficient ending I've still had lots of fun reading it so I'd say it's still worth a shot to anyone who's interested!

This HAS TO BE one of my favourite visual novels I've played! It has SO MANY things I love. Death games, looping mechanics, brilliant characters and a brilliant mix of comedy and despair. It is a game that can make you feel hollow one moment and then chuckling like a maniac the next. The ending is something people complain about, but I didn't hate it. I DON'T think they did a very good job with the EXECUTION but it was good enough for me. By any standards though, it isn't amazing or anything. I played most of this game offline on the Steam deck, AND THANKS TO A BUG my hours don't show (thanks Steam). However the game in total took me around 30 hours to complete start to finish. That is just the base game, none of the extras or "revelation mode" which both may add an extra couple of hours. If the game looks interesting, like AT ALL, and you enjoy the visual novel genre. I'd 100% suggest grabbing it, EVEN AT FULL PRICE. It's just a solid game, with great Japanese voice acting, lots of brutal scenes and a cast of characters you won't forget. 8/10
