i played PPT for 150+ hours with friends on console a few years back (and another 150 on PPT2 lol) the story mode is a fever dream (also the monstrosities of the schezo chapter) THE ART STYLE IS SO NICE?!?! also made me cracked at tetris the online servers are nonexistent on pc however, i waited for 5 minutes and matched with nobody :( it's fun if you push that aside or play it with friends. multiplayer is really really chaotic!

4 november 2024 update: Level 3.4 in adventure mode is bugged you're supposed to complete Puyo Puyo chains but the game always scales the opponent score to a point where it becomes impossible to beat it; thankfully after you lose you can use "help mode" to skip the fight, but still... pretty annoying bug. Look… I just wanted to get a Tetris game that I could play on steam and on my gaming laptop; problem is, most Tetris games on steam have some sort of catch, where they either try to be musical games (Tetris Connected) or games like this one? Where they’re like mix and match ups? Like if you want to play this, you have to play Puyo Puyo, which is sort of like Dr. Mario, you have to match binary tiles in the shapes of strange goo-like creatures to destroy blocks and so on. Thankfully, after watching a YouTube video about the game, I noticed this is a rather well made, simple, Tetris game with some Puyo Puyo in it, and not the other way around. There’s Adventure mode, Arcade mode, a shop to buy different backgrounds and characters to play as. I don’t care that much about the latter, but I really like the fact that it’s a good port, you can customize your keys however you want, the adventure mode is simple enough that it has a story -that you can skip if you want- and just compete for who can beat the opponent faster, and so on and so forth. It's pretty darn good and I really like the fact that retains the ability to just sit down and play some Tetris without that much of a hassle. You can get it fairly cheap as well, but beware… for some reason Sega hasn’t taken out Denuvo from this game… it’s an issue with a lot of their games, sadly. Recommended either way.

I really like this game. The story is fun, the gameplay is really fun, the art-style is awesome, and the soundtrack is just absolutely fantastic! (Honestly, I don't see people talking about the soundtrack enough, it's amazing.) Oh, and the English voice acting is really good, they did such a great job. My only complaints are Denuvo, and you can't change to Japanese subtitles for some reason.

If you like Puyo or Tetris I would highly recommend this game on a sale. It has a decent enough story with great voice acting but you aren't really going to get much out of it without playing with friends due to the servers being dead. It is a fun enough game just not really a good single player experience in my honest opinion. There is some variety with party mode, 40 lines/sprint and multiplayer but again barely anyone plays so if you do play this make sure to invite people to play or you probably wont get matched up in a lobby. TLDR: Very good time killer game but expect the multiplayer lobbys to be dead. Not really much single player content except the story so if you do buy this, I would highly recommend getting it on sale and having people to actually play the game with.
