It's rather hard for me to recommend this game, since it didn't meet my expectations at all. I got neither a coherent story nor compelling love interests, and romances weren't convincing or fulfilling. But still, the game has a lot of fortes. The art and character design is beautiful, voice acting impeccable, music tender (composition The Heart is amazing). The heroine is both cute and admirable, such a kind, strong, bright and honest person. The story is dark and intriguing and keeps you hooked. Overall it's a solid game, even though not quite what I was hoping for.

Do not skip the side stories!! They contain CGs and add a lot of character development. It's essential to the mainline sometimes. If it's locked, then it's for second playthrough. Regardless, the common route is very long. Some chapters are lighthearted with the heroine assisting kids or baby rabbit. Overall, it sets a tone in between the romance so it feels wholesome as well. Highly recommended, tags would be gender-bender, homophobia, ancient folkare, political factions, etc. If you've enjoyed Even If Tempest, you'll enjoy this game.

Love this game! Exactly what I look for in otome games. Beautiful art, and choices do matter , leading to branching storylines. Fully voice narrated by different actors. I love love love Jed's character, and how she actively takes part in the story. Romance lines for two of the characters are well written, the other two kind of felt like filler storylines. Also really appreciated the story tree/flow chart - it makes it super easy to see where your decisions branch out into different storylines, and makes it super easy to REWIND for different endings Negative: not a huge fan of the town interactions you have to go through in the first four-ish chapters of the otome Highly recommend, y'all . Good intro to anyone who wants to try otome games, and a must play if you already love them

Quite a bittersweet VN Otoge, it was hilarious, beautiful and heartbreaking. It will break your heart, mend it, break it again, mend it once more...until you finally reach the end of a story-line. It really has excellent writing, the stunning CG are some of the best I've seen, the voice acting on point. If you are hesitating because you didn't really like its prequel, Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly, hesitate no more, this story, while having mature topics, is so much better and livelier. The MC is also probably my favorite among all the usual otoge I played (for science, of course). I was quite surprised of how entertaining and fascinating the story was, how the characters all are interesting and touching; which I find increasingly rare in IF & Otomate games, that's why it took me such a long time before finally playing this game, especially as I was quite in shock after finishing the prequel. The endings might leave you broken but you and I both know why we're playing these. I hope they make another game in that series, seeing the Easter Eggs scattered a little bit everywhere from one game to another really warmed my heart!

This series of Psychedelica is what I like. The butterfly is what I wanted to finish originally but Ashen Hawk took more priority. I'd say for the story purpose people should get Butterfly first but if you don't care, Ashen Hawk is the best to go through for me. CG art, Voice Acting, and everything about the game is pleasing. I very much like the detail to each routes. I'm not much of a grinder but the games mini walk around and collect info is a bit daunting but at least you are rewarded with a nice route story. Routes The routes are different and individually goes well with the story. Some are short and some are long for a reason due to the characters and their own story with the main character. It's sweet and a bit weird but I recommend all the routes in your own choice of list or by the walk through guide in steam. I overall thoroughly enjoyed the game as it thrills me like code realize. I will have to complete butterfly but thats a nut shell considering the walk through and save function issue I have with that. The save function for Ashen Hawk is not bugged or anything but it still a bit confusing as it's not originally what Im used to, however it doesn't give me issues when going through the game. very much recommend this game.
