As a first time PCM player I have to recommend this (just look at the playing time). On my way to buy the PCM2024 now to be disappointed by the minimal improvements like all the others.

Good game and very in depth. Check out the tutorials if you (like me), know nothing about cycling as a professional sport.

If you like cycling it's a fine game. Especially because it teaches you what goes into cycle RACING. I rode seriously for years, and thought I knew what racing was all about. Not so. This game brings out all the nuances. That said, the downside is that it moves fast, so the scenery is irrellevant; meaning, you won't get 5 minutes to stare at cornfields. It compresses time to quickly for that.

Best game ever for me but need to add pausing of game capability by double clicking the mouse as most of the players would love to control the whole game from mouse. Every time we are about to pause the game to change the strategies we either need to press P or push right upper corner pause button its really annoys me. Please made this game one hand operatable friendly in 2024. Also add a similar selection button for AI new rider introducing limitation as RDC limitation. Because with new game mechanisms its take 3 or years to reach max level in Pro cyclist mode. By that time the who;le peloton is crowded with fancy riders whom we are not keen to ride with that much with respect to already existing riders in real life. So by selecting new rider introducing level to a minimum a player would get the opportunity to stay with real life riders for a longer time rather than rep[lace them with fantasy riders all over the place.

I really enjoy the game, but think there is serious room for improvement. I think training young riders and developing them should be a much bigger picture than just having a development team at the Conti level racing races that you never see the outcomes of and at the end of the season they've gone from 2 pips to 2.5 pips, I also think the drafting system could be reworked so that I could 'bid' on young talent instead of them seemingly accepting or denying my bid to draft them at random as I find "stars" in the dev system that choose random conti teams then develop into nothing. Overall the gameplay is fun, building your team from the Conti level to world tour is fun. I really enjoy that aspect of the game - I think its really hard to build it though, if I win 5 stages at the Giro or the Vuelta and then I only get 20,000 extra dollars to resign my now superstar athletes who are now asking for 35k per month to sign.... my team gets smacked back down the Pro Tour and there isn't a whole lot I can do since I couldn't forcast if they'd be out of my budget come August. I think there is clear room for improvement, I think the game is really fun, would love to see more.
