It is kind of Job Simulator but designed more like a game rather than a VR sandbox for streamers. Gameplay loop is simple but fun and addictive: every day you plan, sell stuff and buy tools and materials to craft more stuff at night, while avoiding the guards view. All the crafting is done with repeated physical movements, and I am pretty sure that some of them were designed to make VR player look silly to the external viewer :) Item interactions are pretty smooth, but grabbing specific item from a pile can be a pain in the ass. Stealth part is a bit obscure - I am still not sure what the guards can and can not see - but it adds a lot of needed tension to somewhat tedious crafting process. There are plenty of content, especially for the early VR game: 4 campaigns with raising complexity + custom and survival modes. Difficulty ranges from high for getting gold medal in a campaign to non-existent for getting bronze. Visuals are bland, but nothing eye gouging. Works on Reverb G2

This is a really fun game. Easy to learn and play, but super fun. Although the characters are egg people, I still get really drawn in with the gameplay. Creating contraband to fill orders from other inmates and crooked guards, while guards are patrolling the deck, has me on edge. Rolling virtual cigs as fast as I can, while peeking over my shoulder every couple of seconds to avoid getting caught. It kinda gets my heart racing. Not from anything physical I’m doing, but more like an adrenaline rush. The guard’s coming around the corner whistling, and I look over my shoulder and see his flashlight. It’s the guard’s last round of the night, but I still got another cig to roll to complete the order today. And I gotta hide the tobacco and papers before he makes it to my cell, because if he sees it, I’m busted. If you get into the game like I do, you get a lil rush from that. You’re doing something wrong that you’re gonna get in trouble for, and you’re seconds away from possibly getting caught. It’s an adrenaline rush for me, even with the guards being egg people. That’s literally the only thing I’d change about this game. I think it’d be better if it was more realistic. But even with the egg people, it’s still an awesome game. Plenty of contraband to create. Plenty of orders to fill. There’s a prison shop where you can buy things as you progress. Things like contraband crafting materials, storage items to hide your contraband and crafting materials, tools to create more contraband, etc… The audio and visuals are great. The game runs smooth. And I really don’t have any complaints, other than I’d prefer real people over egg people. But like I said, still an amazing game in egg people world. I give Prison Boss VR a solid 4/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
