It's a cute game. Manage your expectations: qualitywise, it's about on par with a long flash browser game from back in the day, aimed at 12 year olds. Which is absolutely fine! I'm a 40+ year old guy and rather enjoyed it :) But understand up front that that's what you're getting. The music is nice and varied enough to not get tiresome. The art is cute if limited and not always fitting. Expect about 10 to 15 hours from start to finish. Get this game if you like supporting truly independent developers and want something simple and cozy to spend some idle time at! Don't get this if you're wanting something a bit more complex and engaging or are a completionist who doesn't enjoy massive amounts of trial and error (Sometimes there are patterns, sometimes there seems to be not. Sometimes you're just throwing every random potion type at an enemy to see how it responds. There are no real hints, there is no real guidance beyond the mostly straightforward style of play). The potion crafting system is simple but functional. There are over a hundred potions you can craft. Aaaaaand most of them are functionally the same. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but inventory management allows you to only equip so many potions types at once and you can't change what's equipped without going to specific areas which allow you to access the rest of your supply. There are a great many different types of ingredients you can collect for your potions! ...but many of them require you to use other specific types of potions to get a creature to drop the ingredient for you. Sometimes, this is fine. Often, it's just not worth it (or wasn't to me). I found myself mostly just collecting whatever I could find lying around or whatever I could easily convince mobs to drop and made it through the majority of the game using only the commonly available supplies with very few exceptions. The majority of characters you'll meet are straight out of other stories/mythologies across multiple cultures. If that's the kind of thing which strikes you as uninspired or lazy, you might not enjoy this one much. Personally, I think it's fine. Remembering that this game was made with the younger crowd in mind, it's completely fitting for almost everything to be a reference to something they've heard of or might be interested in. Final say: Give it a try. Maybe it's your cup of tea, maybe it isn't. If you don't enjoy what you're seeing in the first hour or so...the rest is more of the same so you'll have at least gotten that part sorted fairly quickly :D

This is an adorable little game. The characters and animation are adorable, and the gameplay is crafting potions and using them to solve puzzles. It was easy to put 2 hours of playtime into this game - and I enjoyed doing so. Very well put together, great art style. If you're not sure, give it a try because I'm sure you will love it :)

I recommend it with a few cautionary notes which I'll get to, but above all else I want to praise the developer's responsiveness to bug reports and feature feedback. Truly an S-tier developer in terms of response. If you ever have any questions, join the discord or post questions in Steam Community. Renee is immensely helpful and I wanted to give a wholesale shoutout from the mountain tops. Anyways, with the obvious caveat that there's bugs and the developer will actually help and address them, here's an actual review: As far as nice chill ways to spend a Friday night, this is a pretty lovely casual game that will not strain your brain unless you run into a progression-ruining bug (more on that) and will probably make you smile a few times if running around as a witch - that very soon into the game gets a flying broom and a cat - throwing potions at things sounds like a good time. Game's basically one big scavenger hunt where you solve problems by exploring, potion crafting, and potion throwing with occasional random puzzles that are all so far a 1/10 on difficulty scale. There's also light combat in the form of throwing potions and/or using the environment to damage enemies with occasional boss sequences. You can more or less opt out of these with an invulnerability mode if desired, which is nice since combat's relatively rare for adventure genre games and actually caught me off guard. My biggest issues were these: 1)A progression bug that was roughly a solid half hour of my 3 hours so far, but as mentioned Renee was WONDERFUL in all caps at addressing it. 2)You have to find a cauldron to make potions which sure sounds cool and thematic on paper, but because the progression is dependent on potions and you may very well not have the right one on hand, you're forced to travel back to a cauldron, craft what you think is the right potion, travel all the way back to the obstacle (fast travel kinda sorta exists) but you're usually hoofing it part of the way, and then hope your potion is correct. This also leads to a slow early game as you got to scavenge for the early potions. 3)The 1/10 puzzles in difficulty had me asking "what is the point of this?" But that's third and last on my list because if I started judging harshly on this, I'd have to take a hard look at my love of Legend of Zelda titles. Still, what's the point? Basically, I recommend giving this a shot if it sounds like your thing and the caveats aren't a dealbreaker for you. Renee's also wonderful and I hope she finds success with this.

The game is pretty simple, but it's enjoyable and the graphics are really nice. It's a great game for a casual and cozy gaming session. EDIT: The dev helped me out with the bug I encountered :)

You can pet the cat and you're a purple-haired witch exploring new lands. The art is cute, the writing is humorous, and the vibes are cozy. Not sure if games really need much more than that tbh, only 2 hours in and I'm loving it!
