It's a game that allows you to be more balanced and at ease which is a breath of fresh air. The environment and music are really relaxing and you don't feel forced or incentivized to do longer meditations or keep up the streak if you don't want to. You just meditate how you want. I will say though I'd love some sort of breathing sound effect setting to turn on whenever I'm doing my exercises so that I can close my eyes while meditating. Right now you just kinda have to time it or keep your eyes open. But aside from that, being able to relax like this is why you should get this game

PLAYNE is, for me, the most important software I have ever bought. I have health issues both physical and mental and have tried meditation before but nothing has worked - as soon as I tried Playne though it all clicked and I have now meditated for nearly 500 days. There is just enough encouragement in the form of achievements and unlocks to settle in the habit and Fox, Guardian of Playne and inspirational guide is just the best. I use my Steam Deck to meditate and it works fine though I have not explored outside of story mode. I think that the other two game modes - sandbox and evolution, will require a little remapping of the Steam Deck Configuration in order to work properly but I don't think this will be difficult. I have backed the mobile version on kickstarter and I really hope that the goal is reached so that Playne can help others who do not use Steam via phones and tablets. TLDR - Playne helps bring peace to a shattered mind - can't recommend highly enough.

Wonderful tool for building meditation habit. As someone raised Zen Buddhist who has recently taken the practice back up, this has motivated me greatly to check in daily no matter how I feel, knowing I'll feel better afterwards for it. I often remember to meditate when I am already half asleep in bed and put it off, but haven't one day since starting Playne. Despite there being no in-game reward for meditating multiple times a day or for going for half hour sessions over 10 min sessions I still find myself happy to come back to this app twice a day for 30 min sessions every day. The hardest part of meditation is the commitment every day to practicing Zen and this is a wonderful tool to build that habit. If you lack the funds, just want to wait until it's on sale, or are not sure meditation is for you, first off I will say that it definitely is, but Inward is free and very similar to this game so please check that out and start building the habit now. This game is good for starting you off with meditation practices, but if you feel lost with starting meditation or are having difficulty progressing or seeing the path forward, I HIGHLY recommend the book Turning the Mind Into an Ally by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The Sakyong was born in India to a well-respected meditation master, but he was raised in the west making this book both very easy to approach for westerners not familiar with Buddhist tradition, as well as extremely accurate to tradition and best practices handed down for millennia. The book is quite short at 200 pages, and I would recommend digesting it slowly focusing on one of 5 parts per week to month, only moving on when one part becomes familiar, and revisit frequently.
