This game feels like everything I wanted Overcooked to be. It’s not as focused on chaos - there are no hazards or moving platforms, and no running or throwing actions. But in exchange, it adds customer service, roguelite progression, and restaurant customization, which are super fun to mess with. It also feels more complex, with added depth in cooking and micromanagement. There are more steps and actions involved in many parts of the gameplay (like even having to take out the trashπŸ˜„) The only downside I noticed during my playthrough was that some mechanics felt unintuitive and tricky to understand at first. For example, it took me a few trips to the wiki to fully figure out the upgrade mechanics. Other than that, it’s a fantastic time, especially with friends!

I love this game because of tactical game design. I'm not the smartest cookie but after watching about 5 minutes of youtube content and using my one braincell that's working over time i figured out of to get into overtime and am now enjoying the grind of trying to get better.

Remember how in Overcooked series, the levels get more and more frustrating the further you progress? It's annoying because the levels were hand-designed to be that frustrating, the difficulty is artificial. You don't find that in this game. Game becomes hard only because you don't have optimized layout.

once you play this it's very hard to go back to overcooked. In overcooked you struggle because the maps are working against you, in plateup you struggle because you're an idiot and you overcooked the steak.
