i really wish this game got more funding, id love to see more things come out of it. although i did purchase this game, and it went free a few days (or weeks) ago, i am not mad that i couldve gotten it free, i think they deserve my 20$. even if you cant support the devs by paying the game, get it anyways, its a really fun experience.

Really fun to just play around with! although it does get complicated when you're trying to make a rail gun... Although maybe that's just me would recommend

Project is sadly abondened. Game has some bugs but you know, it is now free. I don't see any reason why someone would dislike this.

TL;DR: Haven't played for that long yet and have only scratched the surface of all the amazing contraptions that could be built in this sandbox. All other robotics/programming sandbox games that I know of either are (1) very limited in their components or in what you can do with them because of how you are able to control/program them or (2) are very unintuitive and have a steep learning curve. Not this one. Lots of different components (sensors, actuators, transceivers, cameras, all kinds of stuff!) to play around with and an AMAZING visual programming language to go with that really allows you to push the envelope! If any of that sounds worth spending time on to you, go for it! :) Extended version: I had been looking for a game like this in the past but always came up empty handed, so I am very glad to now have found this gem that is Plasma. I absolutely love the control and the sheer creativity the game grants you with its components and especially with its programming (for which you can also use Lua if you're more into text-based programming btw). However, there unfortunately also is a... sad... side to this game. The devs recently had to cease development of this game (see community hub), though it seems that they really had all the reason to. Already pretty early after launch, the game didn't seem to be a commercial success (see steam database) and the devs have also stated so themselves (see community hub), saying they have lost over $650k (!) in the process. The fact that they still have tried to keep the game alive for so long and now even made it FREE to play just shows you how much they care for Plasma and its community. Given this situation, all I can say is that my heart really goes out to the developers. Thank you for making such an incredible game! You have all the reason to be proud of this, and I wish you the best of luck, fun, and success for whatever you may want to do in the future! The game does have a discord server, so maybe join, have fun with the community, and show the devs some love and support. That's about it, I think :)

When I first purchased this game it looked like a lot of fun. Shortly after that, the developers announced they were not making any more changes. Then a few months back, a huge announcement. The development was resuming. YAY - NOT. At the time I'm writing this, we all got told that the game was being offered for free soon. The only reason I'm giving this a thumbs up is that the developers realized when enough was enough. I feel for them but at the same time I'm hurt too. A finished game would have been nice. So now that it is free, go play it. It's a pretty neat game but it has its issues.
