This game is not the newest of the Pinball FX series, counter intuitively 'Pinball FX' is... so there will be no new games on here, and there has been licences on here that expired meaning the tables have to be removed. Both those facts caused a lot of stir in the virtual pinball community. But I personally do not mind that they built a more modern platform and are only releasing tables on there. This game is fantastic, but if youre just playing pinball, or have a good PC, play Pinball FX. The reason I still have this one installed is 2 fold: 1) I have a ALP Micro that I like to OTG on (basically play PC pinball on a virtual pinball machine) and FX3 runs MUCH better on my older PC. 2) The Aliens tables, and the Bethesda Tables, which arent on FX yet, are INCREDIBLE. Best tables in the whole collection hands down. So this game is still a must for my current situation. Then I enjoy FX on my newer powerful Steam Deck :)

While Pinball FX/FX4 has since released in 2023 after FX3, there are still a bunch of tables that never migrated beyond FX3. For clarity's sake, the following tables are NOT in New FX (as of 08/28/2024): Zen Originals: *Zen Classics Pack: El Dorado, Shaman, Tesla, V12 *Sci-Fi Pack: Earth Defense, Mars, Paranormal Other Packs: *Aliens Vs Pinball: Aliens, Alien vs Predator, Alien Isolation *Bethesda Pinball: Skyrim, Doom, Fallout *Valve: Portal Pinball *Telltale Games: The Walking Dead *Fox Animation (Balls of Glory Pack): Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Archer, American Dad (Delisted August 28th 2024) This leaves a total of 19 tables exclusive to FX3. Other than these tables, everything else got migrated to new FX. There isn't a major reason to get the shared tables in FX3 if you don't own them already and it would be better to look to FX going forward since new FX is aiming to future proof itself for years to come and has completely different ball physics. At the very least the 19 tables listed previously leave a reason to return to FX3 sometimes.

Great game and good variety of tables recommend it highly. Pretty expensive game to unlock everything but if say pay a fiver each week for a new table . I think of it this way in an arcade would spend that in 10 mins

This game is fine. It's successor? Don't know, it seems like EPIC exclusive status prevents me from ever considering it. Choices have consequences, Zen.

I have mixed feelings about this game. Overall it's kind of cool, but it's also not. I have a local place that does $5 all you can play pinball Mondays and I usually spend a few hours there a week. They have a lot of Williams tables (getaway, whitewater, medieval madness, theatre of magic to name a few). I can feel the difference between virtual vs physical. I mainly play Getaway and White Water, and those tables are slower in real life than in this game. I like that this game has classics that I don't have access to so that I can talk about them if they come up in conversation, but I LOVE that the game is 100% accurate in regards to how the table works, it's just the physics that bothers me. I've used this game to help me learn how the table works, and my real world scores have increased. Overall, I'd suggest it when Steam puts it on sale
