good story with good art!! i just have one complaint and that is the general inclusion of things that would confuse someone such as myself who makes the correct decision and avoids the epilogues at all costs, aka treating them as canon at all. seriously, the treatment of the events of a near-universally hated, dubiously canon continuation of the series (that i wanted to remain knowing nothing about) as canon really messed up some parts of this game. im specifically referring to the very end of v14, where it is just casually fucking mentioned that john went through some shit i wont say here, described in a manner that made it sound like it happened one thing after another and gave me a really horrific visualization until i brought myself to look it up. like, there wasnt even any sort of warning for that. that made me really uncomfortable, honestly. i would have loved to know beforehand that there were mentions of anything like that in that volume. i would have loved it even more if it just wasnt fucking included. anyways, aside from unexpected weird shit i didnt want to read, it was pretty great.

Great for Homestuck fans who want some mental torture and dubiously written versions of their favorite characters. We got Meowrails though so like 10/10

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Homestuck. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of paradox space most of the jokes will go over a typical readers's head. There's also Karkat's angry outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Homestuck truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Dave's existencial catchphrase "caw caw motherfuckers," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Andrew Hussie's genius unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Homestuck tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

There are so many different references, it's better to read it after you've finished the whole Homestuck and Hiveswap. The character designs are so varied, finally all my headcanons have been realized. Even characters I don't really like are shown from a new angle, which made me curious. The art is great, thanks to everyone who worked on the characters and backgrounds. The music is also incredible, the tracks are perfect for the characters. It's also good that there are several endings with each character, it's much more interesting. There is so much here that words are not enough, you just have to read. I highly recommend it to all fans, it's worth it. The only thing is that there is no translation, and I wish there was one.
