Overall this game was decent. I found the tactical side of the game was pretty simple and easy to understand so it is good for people who aren't into tactical combat so if you want to experience this game you don't need to worry about the combat being different from the mainline games.(Personally, I found the game on the easy side because I have played other tactical games.) Would I recommend this game to others? Yes and no, if you don't like tactical games or not interested in the original Persona 5 characters then I wouldn't recommend it, if you are looking for a different experience and to interact the P5 Cast again then go ahead. Although I wouldn't recommend paying £55 for this type of game. It is not a full price game, but a good time killer if on sale.

The story is interesting, but the combat is super easy. If you want challanging tactical combat and/or hard-core Persona experience.....look elsewhere! I like this game, but it's not for every Persona fan.

So the DLC paint the heart takes place before the main story of P5T. Therefore, I recommend playing the first tutorial mission, than jump into the DLC, and then do the main P5T story. You even get a nice post credit scene after DLC credits that hints to the main story. Main story also has a sweet post credit scene as well. In my opinion, the DLC had the better music and characters, a short and sweet DLC. The bad thing is that Akechi and Sumi is only available in the NG+ of the main P5T story post DLC completion. I wish they were in the main campaign as "non-canon" characters at least, not everyone have time patience to do NG+. I do not recommend getting the weapon and persona DLCs, the personas are literally PNGs with stats in this game, and the weapons have poor stats that become obsolete pretty early in the game. Another problem is the dialogue voice seems very low, I can barely hear the characters talking despite turning voice to max and lowering the other sound settings. I played in EN voice and I'm not sure if it's the same for JP. I feel the main P5T story is good. Not great as P5R, but certainly had great moments. The music of the main P5T is meh, and inferior to the two main DLC themes. I wish you can unlock the DLC music in the main game as well lol. You should get the game only if you liked P5/P5R. 8/10 for main game, 9/10 for repaint your heart. Another major issue is the pricing, the main game should be worth $20-30, and the story DLC $10. The current price is way too high. Wait for holiday discounts.

Atlus is still riding on the Persona 5 train to milk the fans around to world, but is this game worth your time and money ? Story : 5/5 At first I wanted to knock off 1 point since the game is ~25 hours long and costs 60 €, but I decided against it since the story is so good. To be honnest the story takes a bit of time to get started, but it knows how to hook you in with good character progression for our 2 new character. It has to right twists and uses our knowledge of the P5 lore to subvert our expectations. I didn't expect to be so hooked but I liked the story a lot and I even shed some tears. The story is a bit "too much" like Persona 5 (rebellion, will power, fighting oppression,..) but you won't see a Frenchie like me complain about that Gameplay : 4/5 Another spin-off where Atlus shows us a different way to play with the Phantom Thieves. But unlike the fast paced "beat them all" Persona 5 Strikers, P5T is a tactical turn by turn combat where the caracters move on a grid and try to make sick combos. Just like in Persona 5, you need to knock down you opponent and surround the ennemies for an All-out-Attack. But instead of basic weakness to elements, this time you need to get the ennemies out of cover to knock them down. It makes for quite an addictive gameplay with a lot of satisfying combos to pull off. Music : 5/5 Legendary composer Shoji Meguro is working on Metaphor Re:Fantazio so his assistant was put in charge of the music for this opus. Of course Lyn and Lotus Juice are still back with banger songs, wether those are meant to be chill, sad or nervous. The game also uses some songs fromn P5, but very sparsely so it leaves a lot of room for the new songs to shine. My favourites are "Got your Tail" and "Truth or Dare". The musics are not as great as in P5, but it's not like it's a feat that was ever done by anyone so it would be harsh to take down a point for that. Art : 4/5 The chibi artstyle takes a bit of time to get used to, but it's not that bad. What's bad are some models that have comically thin arms and huge hands. This style is perfect to do comedy, but kinda hard to create any tension with. You eventually get used to it and the story grips you in anyway, but it makes it hard to take anything seriously during the first few hours. Special mention for the animation which is really good especially for the last boss cutscene that goes hard on the animation level. Overall note : 18/20 I liked this game a lot, it knows how to play with my emotions and how to make me feel like a mastermind when doing sick combos. The game is a bit short for a 60 € price tag, so I would suggest to wait for it to drop to 30~40 € during a sale unless you miss the Phantom Thives that much.
