I wasn't expecting to like this game as much as I did. I know most Persona fans found the gameplay to be tedious, but I actually quite enjoyed it. However, there are some noticeable flaws. For one, the game was very obviously developed on a lower budget, and it shows in quite a few places. Secondly, the game is a bit too easy on Normal difficulty. And this is from someone who isn't good at SRPGs. However, the DLC is definitely much more of a fair challenge. Finally, the game is a bit too linear, with it essentially being Fight > Story > Fight. I'd appreciate more side stuff to do, or even a bit of dungeon exploration.

Overall this game was decent. I found the tactical side of the game was pretty simple and easy to understand so it is good for people who aren't into tactical combat so if you want to experience this game you don't need to worry about the combat being different from the mainline games.(Personally, I found the game on the easy side because I have played other tactical games.) Would I recommend this game to others? Yes and no, if you don't like tactical games or not interested in the original Persona 5 characters then I wouldn't recommend it, if you are looking for a different experience and to interact the P5 Cast again then go ahead. Although I wouldn't recommend paying £55 for this type of game. It is not a full price game, but a good time killer if on sale.

If you are a fan of the original Persona 5 this spin-off is an 8/10. Atlus has opted for a turn-based strategy game that is simple and enjoyable even for those new to the genre. Interesting story and impressive music as always. If you haven't played Persona 5 forget it, there are other games in the same genre that are absolutely superior in every way.
