ok for kids

All of my kids adore this. It's a nice introductory 2D platformer; nothing too fancy and not going to be challenging for anyone experienced with gaming, but fits perfect for my 4 & 5 year olds.

It's pretty fun and simple. Not too hard, but can get a bit repetitive. My biggest gripe is Ryder's verbal diarrhea. He - NEVER - shuts - the - F - up!

My 5 year old likes this game and completed it in a few hours. It's a really easy platform-game, with no real challenges, and very little content. It's definitely overpriced, but if your kid wants to play a Paw Patrol-game on steam, this is pretty much what's available.

Except for the developer and distributor not bothering to correct these two relatively simple errors, this is an excellent game for children. The game has two big problems: 1 - The game does not have a GUI or an in-game option to select languages, and it is required to set an environment variable to force the game executable to load the desired language. 2 - When opening the game, a resolution and graphics quality configuration window is displayed, making life difficult for anyone using it via Steam Deck or Steam Link. Fortunately, we have solutions for both problems Solution for 1: The expected environment variable to define the language is "HOST_LC_ALL=<supported_language_code>.UTF-8" On Steam "HOST_LC_ALL=<supported_language_code>.UTF-8 %command%" needs to be added in the section of "Launch Option" in the Steam game properties. (Note that you have to do this before the next steps, or you will have to undo everything to be able to access this window again) 2 - Open a terminal inside the "PawPatrol_Data" folder in the directory where the game is installed (you can find out which one it is by going to the game settings on Steam, then "Installed Files" and then the "Explore" button).
