When you solve a lot of these puzzles, and fully understand them, you feel like you've taken acid. Some puzzle experts say it's too easy. It's no Stephen's Sausage Roll but boy does it make you think in ways that seem paradoxical but become almost intuitive. Mind bending stuff.

10/10 To infinity, and double infinity, and triple infinity, and beyond! What is it: A recursive sokoban with mind-bending mechanics. Unlike a normal game restricted to what is physically possible, this game breaks reality by allowing you to do things only abstract theoretical math allows. The game starts simple, with basic boxes you can push, and then gets more and more complicated with new abilities you have to master. First, the boxes you can push are not just simple boxes, but they can be mazes you can enter and exit, with their own puzzles inside, and there are boxes within boxes within boxes. Then you get boxes containing themselves, where going out of the box still puts you inside the box, or can form cycles with box A inside box B inside box C inside box A again. Then you get clone boxes, and flipped clones, and you become the whole level itself, and find out what happens when you push a box out of itself or into itself. What lies beyond infinity? Can you push yourself into yourself? Who shaves the barber who shaves those and only those who don't shave themselves? The mechanics of the game are incredible and wonderful, yet the game does an excellent job at making you discover them. There are 18 main chapters, each focusing on one aspect of the game, and each containing some easy levels that are there to guide you towards discovering what can be done, a few hard levels that require you to show you really understand what's going on, and a few very hard levels that require a lot of thinking. You don't have to finish all of them to progress, most chapters will let you go to the next chapter if you just finish the basic levels. At the end there is a challenge chapter with really hard levels, this time combining different aspects, plus a few extra puzzles with different mechanics. How hard is it: A great variety from easy to very hard. How long is it: 364 levels, for more than 10-20 hours of playing. Level design: Superb. Very well done "discovery" levels, very hard levels that can be beaten with logic, with non-obvious solutions, and although there are hundreds of levels, most of them are unique. Some levels are quite similar on purpose, to show what a difference a little change makes. Quality: Very good. Unlimited undo, reconfigurable controls, clean and pleasant graphics, lots of settings, decent progress achievements, cloud saving, fast and responsive. Worth the price: Yes! It's expensive, but it's a very well made game, and a unique experience that must be tried. Most positive aspect for me: Mindbending mechanics. Most negative aspect for me: Nothing, this game is perfect. Also consider: [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/497780/Recursed/?curator_clanid=25928931]Recursed . another excellent game with recursion at its core, but in a platformer framing instead of sokoban. One of the best puzzle games I've ever played. I'm about 120 puzzles in, and it's been such a satisfying set of puzzles and expanding mechanics, I really have to marvel at the concept and design of it all. Genius AND enjoyable at the same time.
