Besides a small interlude with a PS2, I’ve been a PC gamer my whole life, as such, I’ve been mainly exposed to genres that thrived inside the PC space: Point and Clicks, RTSes, FPSes, CRPGs, and of course, Space-sims. Ever craving novelty, I got into the niche of hybrid genres, and a mix that I never got to see for the longest time was the FPS/free range Space-sim type, certain games have superficially explored it, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, with the space-ship fights and boarding actions, is the most famous example, but there was never a game that fit that category in a story heavy sense. No Man’s Sky was the closest thing, and even then, it didn’t focus much on the story, at least on release, so this desire remained unsatisfied, until one day, snooping around the Steam store, I discovered something that seemed to fulfill it...
