For a nearly decade old roguelike, it's pretty fun. As many have said, the genre has already been improved upon significantly since launch, but this game stands out thanks to its voxel aesthetic, plus it has some really cool secrets. Dev screwed themselves by sending death threats to Gabe Newell, and imo that should not be overlooked but looking at the game for what it is, it's a pretty fun time for 10 bucks.

Once I took mushrooms and ate some opiated black. I went to the toilet tripping balls, and heard what sounded like the police breaking in, and beating/shooting my friends to death downstairs. I finally got the courage to pull my pants up and stagger down, terrified, and they were sat playing Doom. They call this kind of game a 'boomer shooter', but I remember them starting, they're Generation X games. Anyway, this one is too hard.
