Finally, Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match on PC but without the GuP mechanics and more of a bit of WoT mechanics such as the components like turret or tracks getting destroyed and having to be repaired but not as advanced like WT. I came for the girls but stayed for the war PTSD, the guilt of invading other countries, the guilt of destroying tanks that are crewed by sons, fathers or husbands and watching the war drag on as more soldiers perish along. 8/10 good game. Buy it when it is on sale.

It's like something you would rent for PS2 or Gamecube at Blockbuster to play over the weekend and that's a good thing. I got this game after getting back into WW2 Tank lore (and watching Girls Und Panzer ) and wanted to play a fun tank game. While there are some good ones such as Warthunder and World of Tanks, those feel like such hassles which require massive investments of time and money, mass storage space, pvp frustrations, and grinding. -- This game cuts through all of that to scratch that "I just wanna drive a tank" itch without demanding you adopt a part-time job of a hobby to even get started. It's a simple game which has enough content to keep you engaged (buying new tanks, upgrading crew members and tanks, performing side quests, etc.) but not so much that you feel overwhelmed. It's not a collectathon; it doesn't need to reignite your interest every 5 seconds; it doesn't provide absurd amounts of "content" which in AAA speak really just means mass producing generic quantities of chores while forfeiting quality almost entirely. It's just like an older game you would rent and play the campaign for over the weekend akin to that of Battalion Wars 2 or Republic Commando or Sly Cooper. Like all games it's got some interesting quirks and can be a little bit dull from time to time. But what game doesn't have flaws? What I can say is that I got every achievement and unlocked everything and I didn't need to put hundreds of hours in to do it. I got my money's worth from this game and it's DLC and when I finished, I uninstalled it. It respected my time as a player and that is something that I don't feel games do much anymore as they all seem obsessed with becoming identity forming lifestyles rather than just games to play off and on. Succinctly, it's a fun game and good time that provides something a little different while not overstaying it's welcome. I look forward to seeing what this developer produces next! PS; If you enjoy Girls Und Panzer, especially the Kuromorimine school, or you're just a wehraboo in general, pick it up. You'll love it.

Wish you could play Dream Tank Match on PC? Or perhaps have fun with War Thunder without it's hellish pay to win grind? Panzer Knights is here for the rescue!.... kinda. This is a decently competent game, if a little bit incomplete. TLDR: The game doesn't ask for a tall price for what it offers. And it's exceptional to scratch that War Thunder itch if you're an ex-addict like me. 10/10, would recommend to any military game fans and also someone looking for an easy and fun game to get 100% achievements in. The Pros + Imports a similar "realistic" damage model to War Thunder , allowing you to knock out enemy tanks with one well placed shot (player tank seems more resilient though, taking a lot more damage) + Game takes notes from real history books and accounts of events from the war in the german perspective, painting a somewhat realistic portrayal of some of the events leading up to 1943. + In game crew has voice acting to queue you in with what's happening + Good variety of tanks to pick from, and enemies are portrayed with the correct armor for their time period + Despite marketing it's waifus, the game also offers a selection of more realistic recruits for a german tank division in WW2 (aka young men and boys) + Decent graphics + Open source and fully moddable The cons - Somewhat poorly optimized means the game might choke when there's a lot of assets on screen - Although maps have destructible terrain , this becomes more of a nuisance as it absorbs all kinds of damage - You have to grind a bit to unlock all of the content and achievements. - Cringy wehraboo writing in much of the written dialogue (a mix of random expressions in german with the actual dialogue) - Very inconsistent difficulty curve due to it's concerns with realism (You will be forced to face french tanks your little panzer cannot penetrate, and later have the russian missions be a cakewalk as you use the poor t-34s as target practice for your Tiger or Panther) - Anti-climactic ending with a Battle of Kursk mission that seems incomplete and missing germany's twilight years of the war entirely (as well as a western front post sea invasion of Italy/France)

Good game if you want to run around shooting with Tank. That's it. All of the game stuffs are in .csv files giving you access to mod the hell out of it by just using MS Excel. Has a superman mode in config.csv probably enables god-mode? Note: The game has black screen issue after launch if you have certain .csv game files open (running) with MS Excel.

You are spending $10 on a german waifu tank arcade game, not a tank simulator. Do not expect much and you will have fun. It's fun to deadbrain. Literally just Girls und Panzer, The Game.
