A very good Norilsk Simulator, looks exactly like the siberian version You're walking around, cleaning trash, changing light bulbs and picking up cigarette butts and dog poop You have to save 50k to get out of this frozen hell of a city I really enjoyed it 10/10

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FULL PRICE, if you scout around you will often see it 90% off, for the price of a chocolate bar, and that is a price I could recommend it at. It is a janky mess, which seems somewhat slapped on in "insert engine here", with probably pre-existing assets. It lacks tons of polish, bugfixes, graphical options, or common sense in some design aspects. If you're wondering about getting this game for the price of a chocolate bar, just expect it to be a very simple first person "cleaner" game, existing mostly to scratch a completionist's itch for a few hours. The main goal is completing mundane cleaning tasks, which pay differently, usually according to effort required, some of them you can't complete before you explore around some basements for appropriate tools. Then the biggest time sink being shoveling physics defying snow, which can be done faster if you find better shovels around the world. Said world is completely randomly generated, and seems to stretch out for kilometers on end, don't expect crazy variety of course, it is simply repeating commie blocks, with some small things like cars, kiosks and playgrounds, squeezed between. The paychecks you get from your tasks are towards your plane ticket goal, costing 50k roubles, although you can also go to double that amount, for one of the achievements. Speaking of achievements, since there is only one goal and limited mechanics, they are the next biggest incentive, and some of them, like playing for 30 ingame days, or walking 10 kilometers straight, are obscenely bad and unengaging. I suggest to everyone who decides to play it, to draw a line somewhere, as 100% achievements is probably too cancerous to take seriously. Story exists, surprisingly, but the plotline itself is just a choice (upon hitting 50k) of whether you stay in the city, or board the plane, the ending slides differ slightly based on that choice. Everything else is flavor text, about the harsh winter in this commieblock endless hellscape. Visually it's mostly ugly as sin, thanks to all of the effects you can't turn off, and terrible performance, due to complete abandonment of optimization. The player model are also rough looking. There is a photo mode, and there sure is a very neat atmosphere, that is somewhat close to home, being in a post soviet influenced nation. So if you vibe with what you see, it will help with the simple gameplay. Audio is not great either, the ambient track is ok, the sounds can be a bit choppy, but I assume that is due to overall performance. The game doesn't need much beyond snow crunching and wind blowing, and it does deliver those 2. So yeah, unless you think you can and want to deal with a horribly unpolished, simple cleaner game, that is mostly about the "vibes", I suppose you can just stay away and save that buck or 2 for something else.

The game brought back a lot of memories for me. About my birthplace, a far Siberian city. Depressing and cold. Dreamed about leaving it for a better life for like 20 years. Took the first opportunity to do so and never regretted it, not a single moment. The game is simple and gets repetitive very quickly, but it's a small slice of a very accurate capture of life, which is nice to get nostalgic about, but not for too long, and thank God just in the game... Story-wise, the game features an interesting mindset: while the main character is just a janitor, every day he remembers his goal: to leave the city. Not to get a better job or more comfortable apartment in this hellhole, family. No, every buck he earns serves the main goal: his dream, away from all this winter, panel houses, and drunkards in them. Something I do all the time, changing places without a second thought. While my old friends just can't jump out of their comfortable bucket, even though they have a good income. All they need is just stop wasting it and make some savings; make preparations, and in a year they can move wherever they want, at least in their country. But most people just don't have this faculty. Living their whole life in the same trash can they were born in.
