This game is like ordering a pizza but instead of getting a pizza I got a ball of dough, a bucket of tomato sauce, a block of cheese, a cheese grater and directions to the nearest corner shop.

I was a little nerd and rated the game down, but now I have learned. If you're getting this game: Immediately download Xargock's Arenas from the workshop and do the tutorials they made for the game. The official tutorial is so ass I straight up learned the wrong things from it. I had no idea how to play. I fumbled through the entire game on casual and it was just stressful. I just beat the entire campaign on expert in one go after doing Xargock's tutorials and playing on each arena for a little bit. Took no more time than any tutorial realistically should. Combat feels so fuckin meaty and tight, frustrating but in a cool way. Lots of furries. Really satisfying once you learn how to really play. The game comes prepackaged with this batshit insane fan campaign though, Therium-2, jesus wept the story in that is so bad my jaw was fully dropped for every single one of it's like 5 endings. Do not pay attention to the story in that. Oh. My god.

I bought this game like 10 years ago and was like bruh wtf is this. Forgot it existed. Saw it was completed. Came back to play it. And its pretty good. Best 10-year investment I've ever made. Also the only 10-year investment I've ever made probably.

I grew up watching Nerd cubed playing this. Its as fun as it looks. The only complaints is that wallrunning doesn't work half the time which is super annoying, and the story sucks(but you don't play this game for engaging narrative)

Overgrowth - A Flawed Yet Ambitious Brawler Adventure Rating: ★★★☆☆ Overgrowth, developed by Wolfire Games, presents a unique blend of martial arts combat, parkour movement, and animal characters in a visually captivating world. While the game's ambition is commendable, certain shortcomings in execution and gameplay mechanics prevent it from reaching its full potential. The standout feature of Overgrowth is its fluid and acrobatic combat system, allowing players to engage in fast-paced martial arts battles with a variety of moves and combos. The animations are impressively realistic, and the combat mechanics, when they work smoothly, provide moments of exhilaration as players dispatch foes with precision and finesse. The game's anthropomorphic characters and visually striking environments contribute to an immersive and aesthetically pleasing experience. The attention to detail in character design and the diverse landscapes enhance the overall atmosphere, creating a world that is intriguing to explore. However, Overgrowth falls short in terms of narrative coherence. The game lacks a compelling storyline or meaningful character development, leaving players without a strong incentive to invest in the world beyond the allure of combat. The absence of a gripping narrative diminishes the overall sense of purpose and engagement. Another notable drawback is the occasional awkwardness in the parkour and movement system. While the idea of fluid and dynamic traversal is enticing, the execution can feel imprecise, leading to frustrating moments where the character struggles to navigate the environment smoothly. This inconsistency hampers the game's potential for seamless exploration. Overgrowth's level design, while visually interesting, often lacks clear guidance, making it easy for players to become disoriented. The absence of a map or intuitive waypoints can lead to aimless wandering, disrupting the flow of gameplay and contributing to moments of confusion. The modding community has been a saving grace for Overgrowth, with user-generated content providing additional levels, characters, and improvements. The dedication of the modding community demonstrates the potential that lies within the game, even if the base experience leaves something to be desired. In conclusion, Overgrowth showcases glimpses of brilliance with its dynamic combat system and visually captivating world. However, the lack of a compelling narrative, inconsistent movement mechanics, and occasional design hiccups prevent it from reaching the heights it aspires to. Despite its flaws, Overgrowth may appeal to players who appreciate unique combat experiences and are willing to overlook certain shortcomings for the sake of artistic innovation.
