Outlast 2 is a game where you play as a hard Christian believer who goes to an atheist community to purify and convert them all into good god-loving Christians. it's perfect for educating your children about the bible. 10/10

it's not scary as the first game because it's lean more on psychological horror and it has less in tense chases like the first game, But ngl the graphic and atmosphere are pretty good give it try if you enjoy horror games

One of the best survival and horror style games can be called Daring In my opinion, the game has a good story line In terms of graphics, it has very good graphics compared to the year it was made There are different enemies in the game which makes the game not boring Another part that is very attractive and one of the scariest parts of the game is the flashback inside the school and we can see Jessica's story. In general, it is a good game and for those who like horror style, this is my first suggestion But there is a problem (where is the DLC?)

THE UNIQUES: ๐Ÿ’Ž A new angle on looking at Jesus! ๐Ÿ’Ž Sacrificing children.... yep. PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS: ๐Ÿ’ผ Psychological Horror. ๐Ÿ’ผ Survival Horror. ๐Ÿ’ผ Dark. PROS: + The story is very unique, I can say for certain that I haven't played a game where Christians are sacrificing their spawn because they believe their the anti-Christ. I've played some disturbing games but this sits on the cream of the crop. + The give and chase is very good! It's not constant but it's enough to feel like a mob or Marta (The holy religious chick that chases you with a fucking pickax) are just around the corner to give chase. + The atmosphere around the villages are brilliant, dark, filled with sick demented folk that want you and your unborn child dead, or born, depending on what part of the village you're at. + Staying alive with just a tape recorder and a handful of bandages, you can't kill or harm any of the enemies, the only way to survive is to flee and hide. + A bunch of jump scares or just feeling outright terrified to step out of the long grass or out of blood filled barrels. CONS: - It's agonisingly dark in certain parts of the game, especially if you've run out of batteries. They clearly intended for this to happy but it left me more confused than scared. - Despite the graphics and sounds being much better in Outlast 2, I still enjoyed Outlast 1 that much more, this might be a person con since I liked the story a little more with the first game. VERDICT: I've grown quite an immunity to horror games over the years but this one got me, it's got all the elements for someone to shit their pants, it has the perfect number of jump scares to keep you thinking if their's going to be another one just over this hill or around that corner. I liked how it showed Blake's past and how corrupt his catholic school was. I'll warn you now, the whole game is deeply disturbing, the story is wrapped around child abuse and the potential of the anti-Christ. A lot of developers won't touch this type of thing due to how sensitive the subjects are but you've gotta admire Red Barrels, they know how to make a disturbing game. It's not for the faint hearted, you'll either think it's well written or some messed up game developers, both would be correct statements. Total Score = 79/100. GAMEPLAY: A sequel to the 2013 video game Outlast, the game features a cameraman named Blake Langermann, along with his wife Lynn, a journalist roaming the Arizona desert to explore the murder of a pregnant woman only known as Jane Doe. Both get separated in a helicopter crash, and Blake has to find his wife while travelling through a village inhabited by a deranged sect that believes the end of days are upon them. โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ–กโ–กโ–ก 7 / 10 Fun Christian game for kids. Outlast 2, developed by Red Barrels, thrusts players into a nightmarish world filled with horror, depravity, and psychological torment. As the sequel to the acclaimed Outlast, this survival horror game delivers an intense and harrowing experience that will leave players on the edge of their seats. The game follows investigative journalist Blake Langermann and his wife Lynn as they navigate a remote and eerie village in the Arizona desert. From the outset, Outlast 2 establishes an unsettling atmosphere that is amplified by the game's exceptional use of lighting, sound design, and disturbing visuals. The sense of dread is palpable, creating an immersive and tension-filled environment that is both captivating and horrifying. One of the standout features of Outlast 2 is its narrative, which weaves a complex and disturbing tale of religious fanaticism, cults, and the blurred lines between reality and hallucination. The storytelling is delivered through a combination of found documents, recordings, and unsettling encounters with the game's grotesque inhabitants. The narrative unfolds gradually, keeping players hooked with a sense of unease and anticipation. The gameplay mechanics are designed to heighten the feeling of vulnerability and fear. Players are armed only with a camcorder, which serves as both a means of navigation and a tool to capture chilling moments. The night vision feature on the camcorder becomes a lifeline in the darkness, but it also adds to the suspense as players struggle to conserve limited battery life while exploring the sinister environments. Outlast 2 doesn't shy away from graphic and disturbing imagery, delivering moments that will undoubtedly test the nerves of even the most seasoned horror enthusiasts. The game excels in creating a constant state of dread, where every creak, whisper, or distant scream sends shivers down the player's spine. The level design is intricately crafted, offering a variety of terrifying settings ranging from dilapidated buildings to open fields, each teeming with horrors waiting to be uncovered. The game's pacing is well-executed, alternating between moments of intense adrenaline-pumping chase sequences and quieter, atmospheric exploration. Despite its undeniable strengths, Outlast 2 may not be for everyone, especially those sensitive to explicit violence and horror. The game's unrelenting nature and mature themes contribute to a genuinely unsettling experience that may leave players emotionally shaken. In conclusion, Outlast 2 successfully builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, delivering a relentless and psychologically taxing horror experience. With its atmospheric storytelling, immersive environments, and unapologetically terrifying moments, Outlast 2 is a worthy entry in the survival horror genre, best suited for those seeking a visceral and unforgettable fright. 9.9/10
