A short and thrilling adventure with some of the hottest video game characters ever. You don't have to think about the combos too much, just learn to exploit the various power moves. Only weird thing is how the scoring system is all over the place. Sometimes I got V-s by just mashing buttons while other times I would get D-s for ripping and tearing through enemies.

The game is excellent. I ended up completing it from start to finish on normal difficulty. My only complaint, which is minor, is that the game randomly increases the difficulty marginally in the last few chapters. However, it's no big deal, as it doesn't ruin the overall experience.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos - it's a pretty clunky and lidl hack-and-slash game - but in the good way. If u looking for deep story and polished action game ( something like dmc or bayonetta ) you come to the wrong place. If u wanna see "B-movie style game" with absurd characters and lore - then you're for a good time. Combat here feels sometimes unpolished but it's kinda makes most of the charm of this game. Switching between characters feels fun and when all four characters on the screen do the combos it looks really effective. Camera also sometimes sucks - controls also can be "meh" for some people, but if you gonna get used to it then game delivers a surprisingly fun and fast paced experience. Story-wise, it's pure B-movie. Like i said. Dressed zombie slayer. Cheesy dialogues. Overall plot that doesnt take itself seriously at all. Feels like this game leans towards low-budget, grindhouse like - kinda. Absurdity makes this game pretty enjoyable - bad movie that knows that it's bad. This game not for everyone and most of the people gonna call it bad. BUT! - if u have a soft spot for junky action games - this is 100% for you. For the price that it's right now - it's 100% worth it. Onechanbara Z2: Chaos - it's not a masterpiece, but as a B-movie game, it does exactly what it sets out to do.

So Onechanbara Z2. It is the last game in the time line of the Oneechanbara/zombie hunter franchise. I'll try to sum it up without spoiling anything you wouldn't already know from playing the first stage. Oh and I know the hours are low but I do also own this game on PS4 so I do have the time(if that matters). WHAT IS IT ABOUT??? Onechanbara Z2 is game that tells the tale of two pairs of sisters from two different demonic bloodlines. Aya and Saki from the baneful bloodline. Kagura and Saaya from the Vampiric bloodline. they put aside rivalry and differences to come together in order to stop a greater evil which is this games antagonist Evage who seeks to gain control of the power that both bloodlines have (Mainly the baneful blood honestly) to unleash chaos to the world. You play a all 4 characters and travel around the world to basically bring order to chaos from the infected Evage unleashes and during the play through you run into some recognizable faces (well at least if you played either the original games from the PS2/origins and if you played Onechanbara Z Kagura on Xbox 360/PS3). GAMEPLAY Now when it comes to game-play this game specifically I feel does the best out of the series and yes that includes origins as well. The reason I say that is because when you level up a character's weapon you unlock additional moves and I don't think this game focus heavy on keeping a rhythm to get crit hits and the Onechanbara Z series is just a lot faster with movement and attacking than the other ones. I Kinda like the the score system which brings me to the one bad thing I really have to say about the more recent onechanbara games specifically Z2, and Origins. THE ONE CON: I do not understand why those games are not MULITIPLAYER or at least have the option to be played online. I say this because literally just about every other onechanbara game is coop. 2, bikini squad, Special (for the psp), and oddly enough even the Z Kagura was coop. I think that alone was a opportunity that was missed. It would have made the grade system a little more meaning pull, The AI wouldn't be useless because you'd have other people playing them, survival wouldn't feel boring after a certain point, you could focus on one character and grinding levels would not be a hassle. could have took a page from senran kagura and made a pvp mode and allowed people to use not only the sisters and Evage but Raiko from O2, Nonono from ZK, ETC... FINAL THOUGHTS This game is probably the better newer Onechanbara game overall as far as game-play and I would recommend at least trying it. I wouldn't say the story is too complicated to follow (honestly its kinda the same plot in each game with some bigger evil wanting baneful blood) and it is a fun game even though its single player. Its not a long game either I beat it in 2:56:20 and that was with cut scenes playing. but if you want want play one that is probably a little longer and more difficult play Origins (But that game had issues that I do not know if they fixed like Save data corruption) and if you want to play one that is coop I recommend Bikini Squad on Xbox 360.

This is a game that truly feels like a relic of a bygone era—an era when the goal of video game development was pure, unadulterated fun. This is a hidden gem on Steam, shining with its commitment to exhilarating, straightforward entertainment. The combat system and character design are undeniably top-notch. Playing as any of the characters —each a goddess in her own right— offers a visceral and engaging experience. The girls are not only fun but also stunning, fitting seamlessly into the game's audacious style. The music, reminiscent of something you might hear in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," perfectly complements the game’s vibe, enhancing the experience of hot chicks battling zombies. Another great feature is the variety of scantily-clad costumes available for all characters, allowing for a customizable and varied gameplay experience. However, the game is not without its flaws. Clocking in at only about 15 hours, it feels too short for the rich content it offers; a game this engaging deserves at least double the length to fully develop its potential. Furthermore, the game falls short in guiding players through its more complex combat mechanics. Players are left to figure out the cool combos on their own or seek help outside the game, which can interrupt the flow and immersion. That said, once mastered, the combos are incredibly satisfying, featuring excellent animations and spectacular finishers. In summary, "Onechanbara Z2: Chaos" is an absolute blast for those who miss the straightforward fun of past gaming eras. While it could benefit from a bit more content and better in-game tutorials, its strengths far outweigh these minor drawbacks.
