I didn't expect a game so rudimentary and clunky to be so immersive. My mom clothed me, fed me, named me, and taught me to farm potatoes. I was sad when she died, and struggled for the remainder of my life to give her a proper burial. I died next to her grave, right after my little sister said, "you did good bro." It was a good life. Also, I thought the tutorial was very good.

The game is a constant cycle of loss. I enjoy that. I had grown pretty attached to my mother I spoke with her throughout my life, until she died. I was there at the end. We knew it was the end. she was with her twin sister, standing in the graveyard. I always wanted to be with her until the end as I couldn't bare her just disapearing one day. The grave yard her and her sister stood in was huge, id estimate around half a thousand graves. I spent my entire life burying people they all went into graves in a 3x4 grid group separated by a path that pattern repeated. I would give people headstones but it didn't really seem respectful as the absence of one was the only thing that could make someone notice your place of rest in the sea of graves, I didn't want her and her sister to just be another grave. She meant something to me. She was my mother. I gave both of them a special grave. right near the nursery right by the graveyard. No one will ever know why those strangely placed graves are there. But ill remember. its because my mom died and ill never see her ever again. Its so... Unique. No other game comes to mind that rips away relationships from me, yeah characters I like die in shows and movies and games... But REAL. LOVING. people that care about me is so much worse. Something about being able to log on and to make than loose a parental figure is such an intoxicating power. Its a relationship that never slowly, inevitably dies. Its a relationship that will forever be in its prime. In your memory at least. Great game. Couldn't recommend it more. Can't say i'm sure why tiktok "cozy games" accounts make reviews of it. A note to the developer: Hello, You have created something truly amazing. I couldn't cause so much human suffering if I tired. Nothing has made me feel, sorrowful. Some things like politics or death or my fleeting teenage experience give me some dread every now and then. But sorrow is something special. I cant say this enough, great work. Also, an edit: Ive done some thinking and I would really love some more "control" over when I loose my mother. So if I could have the ability to stab people without any prerequisites that would be nice. I could truly be there at the last moment. No off screen death resulting in my mother just disappering, ill be there for every. single. second. Maybe even have a nice little last chat.

I still remember my very first life when I first played this game a few years ago. I was born to a mother who didn't talk very much. She fed me as a baby, but didn't bother to give me a name. I didn't know how to life, so I mostly followed her around. I was a child, perhaps around 8 or 10, when one of the women of the camp noticed my little lost self. She gave me a name. She asked if I knew what to do, to which I said no. She taught me some basic farming skills and I farmed happily for the rest of my life. I had a few children of my own. I named them all. There was even one who stayed and worked in the farms with me. In the end, I died close to the people I loved, there were emotional goodbyes and promises they'd keep taking care of the farms. In the end, I was moved and blown away. Every life in this game is a metaphor to life itself, with its problems, joys and sorrows. In one short hour, it's all over, so you might as well make the best of it. Every life is unique and in every life, it's up to you to give it meaning, to find some way to contribute and to make a difference. You'll never fully see the impact of your actions, but you hope that you helped make the world of tomorrow a better place. You might start a legacy, or a new settlement. Or your village might die out as you and a few other elders watch it hopelessly fade. Every life is unique and full of potential. And some of the experiences you have will be emotional, or they might have you mourning, wondering about the nature of everything. Few games have that power.

I was born as Eve, the first of my kind. I named my clan the Summers and quickly began scavenging for resources, naked and afraid. On a fateful evening I ate too much food and popped out a baby, as one does. I struggled with early motherhood as I gathered resources. CPS was hot on my tail as unfortunately my first daughter, June, succumbed to starvation. My next 3 children had no time to be bestowed names as they immediately turned to bones upon seeing my less that ideal circumstances. Alas, as I tirelessly worked to make a place I could call home, I popped out 3 more children, Rain, Junea (I misspelled June), and Bartholomew. Little did I know from there on I started something beyond me. I had the honor dying of old age surrounded by 2 of my children, their children, and even some grandchildren. I shed a single tear as I muttered my last words "I maketh dough." I immediately started another life and was shocked to find myself in a much more advanced civilization. There was wood and everything! I was born as a lone child to my mother who was all by herself. Surprisingly, my mother was Junea Summer (I didn't even realize she was missing in my first life). I was immediately given a top hat and from then on I knew I was where I belonged. My mother showed me the ways of life beyond which I understood. She died of old age showing me how to make a pie, her last words being "Then u add filling." Truly inspirational.
