Excellent, Beautiful, Immersive. Gripping Narrative. Believable near future hard sci-fi that can stand toe to toe with Stanislaw Lem. Instills a great desire for the betterment of humanity. Wonderful voice acting, great pacing. Interesting puzzles that remind you of the good days of Riven without being too obtuse. The game requires your attention which fosters more immersion. If you're stuck, breathe, all of the answers are logically in front of you; this is not moon logic. The controls are better than reviewers led me to believe; however, a controller is strongly recommended. TECHNICAL PROBLEMS: To launch the game I had to set Compatibility Mode to "Windows 8" and to get more than 6 fps, I had to use DXVK to change the API to Vulkan (drag and drop 2 files in directory(dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll) - easy) 21:9 Ultrawide Support: Game does not support, but ROSE has two fixes linked on Observations' PCGamingWiki page. One can remove cinematic letterboxing, but it returns midway through and re enables towards the end. I want more.

This game is truly incredible, I don't know why it has negative reviews, I recommend playing it with the controller, I tried it on the steam deck even though it says it's not compatible and it runs perfectly, in my opinion playing this game from the steam deck is the best thing you can do... in any case, spatial graphics (in the true sense of the word lol), fluid gameplay and quite difficult puzzles, many times I was stuck for twenty minutes looking for a solution which would have only taken two minutes to find it, I highly recommend this game! (and it works perfectly on steam deck). (I finish the game in 8 hours, it puts 2,6 in this review because i played it OFFLINE)

Inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey (tt0062622), Coherence (tt2866360), The Cloverfield Paradox (tt2548396), Constellation (tt19395018). Observation (tt9106212) is top-notch Sci-fi thriller itself. As “the guy in the chair”, you help Emma Fisher overcoming obstacles, by gathering information, hacking computer systems, and looking for useful objects on international space station (zero gravity, ofc). Although the camera movement is slow, however, it does a good job of retro future vibe. You have to expect that it isn’t an action game anyway.

Recommended, but 2 things to keep in mind: 1) Use a controller / game-pad to avoid motion sickness, the cameras would not move as fast as mouse and you will get motion sick if you are weak at that. 2) If you are playing on Windows 11, and the game is crashing the moment you start it, open local files, find your .exe game file, and set the compatibility mode in properties, in my case I have set it to Windows 8.

The Story is great, And the game is beautiful minus a few graphical bugs. The Story had a few good twists and kept me playing through the rather painful game play. Many of the "Puzzles" come down to scanning over every item and surface with clunky controls, searching for the one piece of paper that can be scanned among the cluttered environments. What could have been a nice 2 hour story wound up taking over 4 hours and leaving me frustrated with the mechanics. A few major story beats also have the impact dampened by interjecting more Puzzles into the middle of them, Dragging out major scenes and making at least one of them rather comical when it could have been more impact. However the story kept me going through it all. if your willing to deal with some frustrating mechanics, I would recommend for the narrative. If your not, Watch an edited play through on youtube and maybe pick up the title on sale to support the devs
