This is my honest review, and I will mention the good and the bad; let's start off with my initial experience that many people would benefit from knowing prior to buying this game. TLDR: I highly recommend it; please do not go in expecting a very clean game without buggy features. It is a super relaxing small game, the story is easily completable in under 20 hours, and I'm pretty sure it is completable even in under 12 hours. Many improvements are needed to make the game much better plus more enjoyable. I started off with the tutorial (I normally skip anything related to tutorials in essentially almost all games), and right off the bat, I was unsure if I was going to like it. The tutorial is straightforward for the MOST part, but it became a little confusing towards the end, and I was unsure whether or not I was fully done with the end sections, such as the process of feeding the chickens, etc. I was also slightly disappointed with not being able to take off this hideous outfit on my character; I was slightly under the impression that from the depicted banner, I could look like that or have that choice. This was not the case. I reached the end of the tutorial slightly confused, and then I decided to travel further into the map to my area. It then started to get interesting. I was greeted by the main character throughout the story, a chicken that initially guided you in what you needed to do and how to "move forward". Your place was infested with complete trash, and for someone like me, I like to have a very clean area, and everything must be cleared prior to moving forward. The controls are pretty straightforward, and I was surprised that I didn't really find someone to immediately suggest the mouse sensitivity because the start mouse sensitivity for looking around is horrendously slow. I learned something later on for personal preference, and now this isn't the achievement I hoped it would be, which would be to clean each area spotlessly. If you want to do it, I suggest holding down your vacuum button (if you're keyboard and mouse) and then holding down the button to drill through everything. This helps suction a lot of the trash WHILE you're drilling through so much trash. I played this game at a pretty slow pace and how I wanted, which the game allowed you to do so. Gameplay overall, it was a very relaxing game, and the ending came quickly. It was slightly anti-climatic because there was no actual cutscene.... **SPOILER** You are given a choice to go to Mars or stay on Earth, which the options mean that you can still do whatever you want in the game without exiting or ending the game by going to Mars (now I only read this through Reddit forums; I selected to stay on Earth because it clearly implied that I didn't want to end my play session). This is by no means a clear, clean game without bugs. The recent update to this game to add automation is really nice for farming and planting for you. However, my MOST DISLIKED part of the game is inventory stacking with the number of seeds you obtain; planting apple trees, peach trees, etc., was ABSOLUTELY annoying. You could not neatly stack them closely together or even a decent length away. The game will not allow you to do this as they grow to a decent size, but I felt like it ruined a lot of my plots to be placed down and my ability to add more trees. Yes, the game provides you with many different zones, but I do NOT like the constant zone loading screens, so I try to do ease of access, which is my farm. Another thing I hope to see is increasing the stacks of everything, ESPECIALLY of the veggies + fruits past 10; they take so much space and make you run into inventory space. The bots that collect from animals + harvest do not have very much space, nor are they upgradeable to have a bigger inventory space. It would be cool to see an upgrade to all storage, including the robots. The robots I noticed GLITCH VERY EASILY and would stop actually working or eventually stand still and "harvest" that way but seem to fail to deliver the stuff into their chests. It would be really cool to decide where they could drop off the items in another storage space. Our animals, such as the dog, cat, and raccoon, would have been cooler to allow them to follow you on trips + select the type of breed or collect more. I have not fully investigated this completely. Another issue I ran into was decorating my house, my main room when placing wallpaper; the wall is also painted on the other side, which is the hallway. I try to repaint this, but it ends up repainting my room's wall, too. It was also a hassle to even paint any hallways with wallpaper that required sides of the hallways. I have yet to try the sandbox version of this game. I will put in a review when I do the test after my 100% completion of achievements. PS: I feel like my fully upgraded drill/vacuum hardly made a huge difference. However, GO FOR RANK 3 VACUUM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Thanks for reading if you got this far. Lmk if any questions xoxo
