It's not bad but the people praising this game as "making you feel like a true detective" have obviously not played many detective games. If you're fresh off games like Obra Dinn, Golden Idol, Painscreek Killing, Unheard, etc. This game will not satisfy you. It's an interesting story with twists and turns but the gameplay itself is not very challenging. You can also beat it with all achievements in less than 3 hours. To be specific, I think showing images next to the text makes the game incredibly easy. You rarely need to figure out who said what based on context. Just look at the image and you can easily figure out who said it most of the time. Overall I liked it but I feel like reviews here are misleading. It's baby's first detective game with a fun-to-piece-together story.

amazing game. At first I had absolutely no clue on what I was doing, but eventually the pieces started to come together and everything began to work out. Made me feel like a real detective. Definitely cannot guarantee most people would enjoy this kind of gameplay, but I loved it.

This game was genuinely amazing - and to think I probably would've completely missed it. I was scrolling the steam store mindlessly, without the intention to buy anything. The name caught my eye and when I read the premise I got this feeling, and suddenly I knew what I was going to spend my night doing, and I'm very glad I did. The general gameplay loop consists of connecting keywords in order to "remember" pieces of conversations that Senior Inspector Jeon Gyeong had with those involved in the unsolved Seowon case, a missing persons case which has been left cold for twelve years. As you unlock these different pieces, however, you have to identify where it belongs, like a puzzle. This includes finding out which conversation it belongs to (who said it) and the specific chronological order in which it was said. Doing this correctly enough times will give you keys, which can be used to unlock more significant parts of the case. The writing in this game is of remarkable quality, as is the art. The story this game is trying to tell is incredibly touching and engaging to follow as you piece it together. The music is nice too, and I love how it evolves as you get closer to the truth. I highly recommend you play this 100% blind, with no knowledge of what happens outside of the premise.

Short and delicate game over 2-3 hr playthrough. The overall story might not be deep or thought-provoking enough IMAO but I like the process of assembling and organizing the clues. UI and graphics suit my taste. The reasoning system is enjoyable, with smooth and logical linkage between clues that can effortlessly push me all the way toward the case ending.

I have mixed feelings about this game, but I would recommend it to most people. On one hand, the game tells an excellent story with interesting mechanics that aid in piecing together conversations. The context in which you do this is also very well executed. However, the gameplay can be both rewarding and satisfying, yet also extremely frustrating. I can't help but feel that many players might quit midway. The core puzzle involves figuring out who said what and in what order. However, the conversations don’t always flow naturally, and even if a conversation snippet contains potentially revealing details, they might not be significant until some other context is revealed. For me, this meant I was left with a handful of conversation snippets that I couldn't place during the final part of the puzzle. My approach to solving mysteries involves gathering all the information and laying it out. However, this method seems incompatible with solving this particular mystery. It seems like the game expects players to unlock parts of a conversation incrementally and look for new clues that start flashing, indicating they can now be solved. But this approach didn’t feel very entertaining: I would have preferred to follow the conversations I found interesting, but it felt like I was punished for being invested. Additionally, the foreign names and insufficient information to intuitively distinguish characters meant it took me a while to grasp all the characters. Locking the first part of a conversation with an individual or including photos to visualize each character from the start would have significantly enhanced my experience. Overall, this seems like a fantastic 1–2-hour story wrapped in a challenging puzzle, but it took me twice as long due to stumbling through the gameplay, and the frustration often led to me getting lost.
