I see a couple recent reviews copy-pasted exactly, talking about some issue with a tutorial mission. I just restarted the game and played through the tutorial no issue. It's a fun puzzle game/investigation puzzler using some real, some not, some hollywood'd up, hacking tools and techniques. You're basically playing as a cyberintelligence operative and you do hacker stuff to whomever you're told Fun game! Pick it up if you think it looks interesting (and it still works just fine on my machine)

“NITE Team 4” is an exceptional game that offers a deep dive into the world of cyber warfare and hacking. The game stands out with its realistic hacking mechanics and a compelling storyline that keeps you engaged from start to finish. The tutorials are incredibly well-designed, easing you into the complex world of cyber operations without feeling overwhelming. They effectively teach you the various tools and techniques you’ll need to complete missions, making the learning curve manageable even for those new to the genre. One of the most impressive aspects is the variety of missions. From digital surveillance to network infiltration, each mission feels unique and challenging, ensuring that the gameplay never becomes repetitive. The inclusion of logic puzzles adds an extra layer of depth and keeps things interesting1. The storyline is another highlight, filled with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The narrative is well-crafted, making you feel like a true member of an elite cyber warfare unit1. Overall, “NITE Team 4” is a must-play for anyone interested in hacking and cyber warfare. It’s a well-crafted game that offers hours of immersive and thrilling gameplay. Highly recommended!

It's 2024 and man this is a good game! Hands down, the CLEANEST hacking sim. Not sure on what the devs plans are as far as making more investigative/hacking games but this one is super underrated. Anonymous hacker simulator had alot of real world tools but NITE Team 4 is soooo clean.

The tutorial felt more like a training CTF than a game tutorial. There are some real life references as well as fictional tools. The game tries to cover the basics, and fills in the blanks with cheesy Hollywood style GUIs. All of the top reviewers' complaints are valid. The GUI is annoying, but you can get used to it. If you want to multi-task you have to utilize the workspaces and open multiple instances of the tools/documents/whatever. The notepad has tabs, but the terminal doesn't for some reason. Every tool needs it's own terminal... very tedious. There is no coding or scripting involved. This game is more about critical thinking and detective work. Lots of enumeration. The exploit portion is pretty comical. It's a GUI version of Metasploit where you just plug in a few settings and let it do it's thing. One thing that kind of bugged me was their fictional version of Netcat was called Hydra, even with the similar logo. It also seems to not matter what your current IP address is. There is no blue team or defensive measures at all, which could've been a fun thing. I've only done the main story so far, but the game is well done if you don't mind the issues with the GUI.
