a good passenger transportation game with advanced game mechanics that allow you to micromanage almost anything you want with your networks. Only downsides currently in my opinion are that there are no custom generated maps which also means the cities you server wont grow so all the transportation demand at the start of the game is all you'll ever have for your networks. It would also be nice if a function to automatically couple and decouple multiple units in a station was available to allow a more efficient usage of highly branching networks.

This is the rare category of game that only gets made by a brilliant crazy person. The premise will only apply to a niche of (also crazy) people, but it executes on it's premise with absolute perfection. If the idea of planning railroad networks sounds *fun* and not absurd and deranged to you, then you will enjoy this game.

Just got it and have played a bit, So far the game is amazing with the amount of detail and granularity it delivers. I could and probably will spend hours designing intricate subway, train and tram networks all over the world. Where the game does fall short is in intercity or intercountry rail since its really optimized for the small scale of a city. Some thing i would love to see implemented is a satelite view for the map to get a better judgement for the landscape, being able to go all around the world with a train and some more controll over the rail placement. other than that its shaping up to be an amazing game and i can't wait to see what it will look like in future updates and the full release

NIMBY Rails is a great combination of real-life train scenarios and fantasy maps. I've played over fifty hours and I haven't even occupied 0.1% of the map with trains! Five stars out of five!
