I see people comparing this to Zero Sievert, and sure its similar in many ways, however for $6 this game is on par with Sievert if not IMO better. This game is amazing if you like loot, and who doesn't like loot!?

Came to the game because it reminded me of Zero Sievert... honestly, I might like this game even more. There's a bit more of a story focus, with story missions having more effect on the actual gameplay of the run, loot is more abundant, (RNG can still mess you up with some of the quests, but those are always side quests, never story quests) better guns are unlocked via progression into more dangerous maps rather than random luck... the extraction mechanic of getting swarmed by zombies as you rush to the chopper is amazing, and really replaces other games' extraction of "sit in a corner for ten seconds" with a true adrenaline rush, especially when... well, I don't want to spoil anything :P Suffice to say that if you enjoy extraction shooters and top-down gameplay I HIGHLY recommend this game!

Solid dev. Played the game few times, every time i come back, there is new stuff, and by that i mean actual mechanics+items, maps, bosses. Single dev makes ACTUAL updates faster than whole Zero Sievert's team(And good ones at that) while having health issues. This game deserves attention.

So far I've enjoyed this game and think it's well worth the $6 price tag. Some people will hate on it and call it a Zero Sievert Copy but I think that's wrong. It may be inspired by Zero Sievert but the weapon modding system, armor system, health & status system, and back pack system are different and help give Night Raider it's own identity. Guns can be modified at any time, not just in the bunker/safe zone like in Zero Sievert. At the time of me writing this you can only craft better armor, you don't loot it from dead human npcs or receive as a reward from completing a quest like in Zero Sievert (though this may change once the developer adds in quests which is planned for the 1.5 update). In Night Raider you must also manage your body temperature, infection levels, and watch out for debilitating status such as slow, diarrhea, increased thirst & hunger, and more, on top of managing your health, wounds, and radiation (like in Zero Sievert). With Zero Sievert's back pack system, each back pack only allows you to carry a certain amount of weight, while in Night Raider, weight is not a factor but instead each back pack (can carry anything) or specialized storage cases (med bag for medicine, weapons bag for weapons & attachments, briefcase for keys, cards & money to name a few) has a certain number of slots that you can fit items in. To play the more difficult maps you must have the correct card to access them, which is not an issue once you progress further in the game. You can have a pet accompany you and assist in looting, fighting enemies, and store some items on. You can make a PC to buy stuff off the market that you can't from the couple merchant npcs in your safe zone. I find that compared to Zero Sievert, the amount of time I spend in an extraction is much longer and that's because I try to fill up all of my back pack space, again since weight is not a factor like in Zero Sievert. The developer for Night Raider is a solo developer and, in my opinion, doing a good job at updating the game and communicating with the players. That's all I'll say for now and will update my review as the game evolves. Overall if you like Zero Sievert or similar Top-Down Shooters, I think you'll like Night Raider.

In my first 5 hours I haven't died once, even on Veteran difficulty. That being said, I have been eating bullets like a mad man and I almost died once or twice from zombies. Last night I managed to play a harder difficulty map, and decided I shouldn't waste the trip so I visited the special factory building. I met the boss, I ran from the boss. OKAY, looks like I'm going to the school instead. I clear the bathroom and get the guns, I get to the main office, I get the guns and start putting them away. *SURPRISE!* The boss is late to school, but he made it! I actually ended up winning the fight, it wasn't easy. I dumped like 4x30 round mags of 5.56 into him. I walked away with only 6HP remaining, and a broken bone. It's a pretty fun game honestly, it's arcadey, easy to learn, and the adventures still manage to be memorable. I just wish it had controller support, it'd be such a cool game to play on the deck if it had proper controls.
